"I never knew I was blãck until I moved to Europe." Jay Jay Okocha

"This is a true story about racîsm. When I first got to Germany, Europe, the rate of racîsm there was very high. Infact, I never knew I was blâck till I moved to Europe and so I thought of a lēgal way to pay them back. So I started dribbling them. Sometimes I would dribble all the defenders and the goalkeeper, reach the goal post, come back and double dribble all of them again before scoring just to show them bläck sũpremacy. I dribbled them so hard that some even ate grass." Jay Jay Okocha

When you look at all these, you'll understand why only one bläck footballer has ever won a Balon D'or even with the great football players Africa has produced over the years🤦

AIR PEACE AIRCRAFT NAMED "OJOCHIDE" REFLECTS CULTURAL HARMONY

Airpeace, a renowned Nigerian airline, named one of its aircraft "Ojochide." The word "Ojochide" is derived from the Igala language, spoken by the Igala people of Kogi State, Nigeria. In Igala, "Ojochide" means "God is my guardian or protector."

This naming choice holds a special significance as it represents the cultural harmony and unity within the airline and its leadership. The CEO of Airpeace, Chief Allen, hails from Anambra State, while his wife is from the Igala community in Kogi State. Their union symbolizes the coming together of different cultures and backgrounds.

Airpeace's choice to incorporate Igala culture into its operations demonstrates the airline's inclusivity and respect for the communities it serves. It is a beautiful example of how different cultures can come together to create a harmonious and united society.

*_JAMB Uncovers 1,665 Fake A-level Results During Direct Entry Registration💻_*

👉🏻Over 1,665 fake A-level results were uncovered by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), during the 2024 Direct Entry (DE) registration exercise.

➡️The board also said the A’level results verification regime was characterised by corruption associated with the system.

👉🏻The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, disclosed this when he received the leadership of the National Association of Nigeria Colleges of Education Students (NANCES) in his office in Bwari, Abuja.

➡️He said, “Out of this figure, 397 were from Colleges of Education, 453 were university diplomas, and the rest were other A’level certificates.

👉🏻“It should be of grave concern if no one respects the certificate one is holding; hence, there is a need to safeguard the integrity of A’level certificates that are used to secure admission through measures that would stand the test of time.”

➡️The registrar recalled that in the past when a candidate applied for DE, the board would simply ask awarding institutions to do the necessary screening and due diligence.

👉🏻He stated that JAMB was shocked by the revelations from Bayero University, Kano, where out of the 148 Direct Entry applications to the institution, only six of the certificates forwarded for processing were genuine.

➡️The registrar added that it was the discovery of the fraud that prompted the meeting of critical stakeholders, who met to chart ways of combating the menace.

👉🏻Some of the measures suggested, he said, was the constitution of an A’level result verification task force as well as the creation of a common platform for the verification of A’level results and certificates. He said the platform was reliable and user-friendly, as it only takes five minutes to verify any given certificate.

How I killed my childhood friend, stole his bike, dumped body in a pit —Suspect

A 39-year-old fruit trader, Babalola Dolapo, has narrated how he killed his childhood friend, Evangelist Opeyemi Oyelakin, stole his motorcycle and dumped his co**se in a pit on Oke-Igbo Road in Oke-Igbo/Ile-Oluji Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Dolapo, who spoke to newsmen after he was arrested by police detectives in the state, said he sold the stolen motorcycle for N130,000 after killing his friend.

He confessed committing the crime with one Sikiru Mutiu, who is now on the run.

He said: “It is the work of the devil, I can’t explain because this person that we are talking about was my close friend. Truly, his bike is not the first bike I would steal but I have never killed before. Even those that are not related to me, I snatched the bike from them and did not harm them but this one is just a coincidence.

“We sold this motorbike for N130,000 and we shared the money equally because we were two in the business. When we wanted to collect the bike from him, he struggled with us and I hit him with stone. I know his mum and younger brother.

“I can’t explain why I killed him. I am a trader, I sell oranges but I don’t have a shop. I do go to villages to buy oranges. I am from Oyo State, but resides in Ondo town. I’m yet to marry and this would be the first time I would come to this area. I have been in the business since 2021.”

On the incident, the state police commissioner, Abayomi Oladipo, who led detectives and medical personnel to evacuate the decomposing body of the deceased from the pit where it was dumped in the bush, frowned that farm owners where the co**se was dumped failed to alert the police despite the stench in the area for days.
