The Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has recorded steady progress in the electronic registration of intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj, with the uploading and verification of international passports proceeding smoothly across the state.
In a statement signed by the Executive Secretary, Eranga Abdulkabir Muhammadkabir, the Board said the exercise was being conducted in accordance with the approved guidelines, timelines and procedures for the 2027 Hajj operation. It noted that registration officials were working diligently to ensure that eligible intending pilgrims are properly captured and documented on the electronic registration platform.
The Board therefore urged intending pilgrims who are yet to complete their registration requirements, particularly those who have not submitted valid international passports, to do so promptly. It warned that delays in providing the required documents could lead to avoidable challenges as the registration deadline draws closer, stressing the need for early compliance to prevent last-minute complications.
The Board assured intending pilgrims of its commitment to a transparent, efficient and well-organised registration process, as well as adequate preparation for the 2027 Hajj. It further advised pilgrims to rely only on official information from the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and other authorised channels, while promising to provide further updates as preparations for the pilgrimage progress.
