EID EL-KABIR: MD SAMEER CALLS ON CITIZENS TO EMULATE PROPHET IBRAHIM'S SPIRIT OF GIVING AND SHARING TO THE LESS PRIVILEGED IN LAILABA WARD AREA OF ARGUNGU
"I extend my warmest greetings to you all our Muslim faithful, on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Kabir (the Feast of Sacrifice)".
Eid-el-Kabir commemorates the profound act of obedience and unwavering faith demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (A.S), who was prepared to sacrifice his beloved son Ismail in submission to the command of Almighty Allah (SWT). This divine instruction and the subsequent divine intervention exemplify the ultimate call for total surrender to the will of Allah SWT.
This sacred festival is also the spiritual climax of the Hajj pilgrimage, one of the five pillars of Islam. Hajj is more than a journey. It is a deeply personal act of worship that reflects self-discipline, devotion, and complete submission to Allah SWT. It is a once-in-a-lifetime obligation for those who are able, symbolizing unity, equality, and spiritual renewal.
"As we celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, let us not forget its true essence, which is obedience, sacrifice, compassion, and unity. It is a divine reminder for every Muslim to lead a life rooted in obedience to Allah SWT, sacrifice for the greater good, and service to humanity. I call upon all citizens of my constituency to reflect deeply on this sacred meaning and strive daily to embody these values not just during the festive season, but at all times".
