TRIBUTE TO MY LOVING FATHER— A CIRCLE COMPLETED
‎Today marks one year since Daddy(Surveyor Lawrence Orji Igidi) left this world.
‎He died on a Sunday 19th. January 2025… on Afor market day—a day of passage, exchange, and transition in Igbo land.
‎And today…
‎on this same date, on Afor market day
‎life has returned to my family.
‎My wife has given birth to a baby boy.
‎This is not coincidence.
‎In Igbo cosmology, life does not end—it transforms.
‎The ancestors do not disappear; they return through blood, breath, and destiny.
‎While we mourned my father’s departure, he found his way back to us.
‎My father was a great man—a first-class land surveyor who understood boundaries, yet lived beyond limits. A philanthropist with humanity as his compass. A man of wisdom, strength, and quiet authority. In his youth, an indomitable wrestler. In life, a true gentleman. His departure was painful and strange, but his spirit was never lost.
‎One year ago, we buried a legend.
‎Today, we welcome a legacy.
‎The circle has closed.
‎The line continues.
‎Rest well, Surveyor Lawrence Orji Igidi
‎Your footsteps did not fade.
‎You returned.
