It was a glorious exit.
I remembered when I was with my dad's body for 3 hours or more at the mortuary door while contacting and waiting for my relations to come. I was observing his body as it glowed. It lightened up, I'm not kidding about this.
That might have been the moment when God said to him, "Welcome, my good and faithful servant".
Dad is a very strong lover of God. His face is the first I see at my varanda most of the times when I come back from work. He welcomes me with a smile and opens the gate for me. He sits on a stool reading the bible there. He loses track of time. He only comes in when everywhere is getting dark.
I go and come back everyday looking at that same place he sits everyday. Not a smile to greet me anymore. I kind of looked forward to seeing him there. There is this Joy it gives me and also serves as a reminder that I need to love God as much as my dad loves God.
He lived a great life and a great dad he was.
Rest in peace Dad.
