That you have installed Agwu does not automatically authorise you to work for people until you perform the ritual of ICHI AGWU, refrain from bringing negative forces into your home and that of your children. Odinani is not child's play, trade with caution.

In Igbo spirituality, Agwụ (sometimes spelled Agwu or Agwunsi) is a powerful spiritual force and deity associated with wisdom, divination, healing, and mystical insight. It is deeply connected to the spiritual calling of individuals, especially those destined to become dibia (traditional healers, diviners, or spiritualists).

Key Aspects of Agwụ:

1. Spirit of Knowledge and Mystery:

Agwụ is believed to govern intuition, hidden knowledge, and mystical insight. Those who have Agwụ are often spiritually sensitive or gifted.

2. Calling to Priesthood or Healing:

When someone has a strong Agwụ influence, they might experience mental or physical disturbances, strange dreams, or spiritual encounters. These are seen as signs of being called to serve as a dibia.

3. Spiritual Lineage:

Agwụ often runs in families, passed down through generations. A person might inherit this spiritual force from an ancestor.

4. Rituals and Initiation:

To manage or fulfill their calling, individuals must consult a dibia and may go through initiation into the Agwụ cult. This helps balance their life and unlock their spiritual potential.

5. Balance and Madness:

If Agwụ is ignored or not properly handled, it can lead to spiritual imbalance, which may manifest as madness, confusion, or misfortune. Honoring Agwụ brings harmony and mental clarity.

In Summary:

Agwụ is the Igbo spirit of insight, divination, and spiritual calling, guiding healers and those with sacred knowledge. It's both a gift and a responsibility.

If you are keen on practicing tradition, I advise you to visit your village and inquire about the established customs, as numerous malevolent acts are occurring in this space under the guise of tradition, with many individuals being initiated unknowingly, so please refrain from inadvertently inviting trouble into your life due to ignorance.

Is Practicing Our Tradition Evil?

Many people today quickly label our Igbo traditions as "evil" or "demonic". But let’s pause and think:

Tradition is not evil—ignorance is.

Our tradition teaches us respect, unity, hard work, and the importance of family.
It reminds us to honor our ancestors, value our elders, and stay connected to our roots.
Wearing isi agu, speaking Igbo, naming your child Chinonso or Nkechi—are these evil? No. These are beautiful parts of who we are.

What is evil is when people twist traditions for personal gain, or when fear and lies are used to confuse others.

Let’s not throw away our heritage because of misunderstanding.
Christian, Muslim, traditionalist—whatever you believe—you can still be proud of your Igbo identity.

Our culture is not the enemy. Forgetting who we are is.

Numerous Igbo individuals have been misled into worshiping unfamiliar deities, solely due to the perceived wealth of akajioffor, without considering the source of this wealth. I am here to inform you that you have been deceived. Akajioffor is actively paying homage to his associated deity, which is aware of his existence and yielding positive results for him. Let me ask you, if you have any connections with that deity, what happened to your associated deity? Some individuals have neglected to visit their family deity. Cease being exploited and confront reality.
