ANIOMA STATE, SENATOR NED AND THE SIREN SONG OF FREEDOM.
By Edward Chidi
How does a patriot like myself feel each time I sit back and reflect on the memories of old Nigeria where love, unity and harmony were the pillars our existence? Those old times remind me of the noble cause of Late Nelson Mandela of South Africa, he was indeed a symbol of freedom for Africa and the rest of the world.
Will Senator Ned Nwoko be on history book after the struggle for the actualization of Anioma State? The answer lies in this article.
I truly understand that in today's world, too many people drift through each day with a siege mentality-each individual treating the strong agitation for the creation of Anioma State as a savage space, where ferocity is fostered and condoned.
This awareness strategy has sent ripples of anxiety to the enemies of Aniomas who are against our freedom and also sent a warming victory at least, signal to the great supporters of our cause, spurring a fervent campaign to credit and inspire young people of Anioma Origin to join in the crusade. It is a sign of freedom at last.
At this critical stage of awakening youth consciousness for freedom, what Senator Ned Nwoko must embrace is a vision of inclusiveness governance steeped in pro-indigenous policies. Senator Ned Nwoko and his team must avoid pandering to the fancies of the political and business elites.
The Youth of Anioma land are beginning to show supportive interest and any hints that antagonists of this noble cause are our to create problems will not be forgiven.
At this stage, there is no gainsaying that Senator Ned Nwoko has achieved a milestone by facilitating the creation of Anioma, through legal provisions, sponsorship of bills at the Red Chamber and his personal funding of all entreaties to ensure a smooth landing of this cause. This has drawn applause from not only the Anioma indigenous people but all in diaspora irrespective of political affiliations.
Thus, Senator Ned must understand how his deeds resonate among the people. It is not sufficient to brush off dissent and harsh critiques as mere machinations of a disgruntled opposition. Instead, Ned must strive to earn the trust and goodwill of the people through a commitment to transparency, decisive, and exemplary performance. This is the best way to earn the respect of his critics and the goodwill of Aniomas.
Senator Ned Nwoko has penned down his dreams and desires to actualize the creation of Anioma State and we are pretty much in support of that too. Our enemies will soon join us in this struggle when they are convinced about the gains over the loss. They will campaign beyond the limit after they are convinced through our resilience.
As we wait for the promised dividends of a new Anioma State, shall we desist from heating up the polity?
Already, the social space thrives as a repository of venom and virulent dissent, triggered by the soaring prices of food, goods and services.
Let me allow these lines of Olatunji Ololade to strive here: "too many social factors intensely replicate our primitive experience. But they have done nothing only to reenact the vast facets of evil that we groomed them to personify".
Thank God this advocacy was led by the chosen Messiah, Senator Ned Nwoko whom we all believe shall lead us to the promised land.
The youths of Anioma extraction must be ready to stand behind Senator Ned on this mandate but not hopefully with violence but a peaceful diplomacy that entails sensitization of the general populace to join us in this freedom journey. The struggle is midway, it is a collective effort and representations from different communities and towns. We must unite to achieve this together.
Ned remains the foreman as long as the campaign for the actualization of Anioma State is still heating and I am very pretty much of his commitment all along. What really matters to us now is the unity of purpose which has been the driving force behind our strength all along.
The different support groups in the struggle for Anioma freedom are testaments to our strong resolve. They believe that with Senator Ned Nwoko championing this, the end is always going to be victorious, some of them are on a journey for the definition of our tomorrow's existence and their voices are heard across every shore of the country as I write this piece.
For all its symbolism of freedom, Anioma must look beyond the blankets of deceitful messages from our enemies and show character to overturn the ugly dissent of propaganda, its toxic tracers of thought, action, and reaction.
Notwithstanding, Senator Ned Nwoko must continue with the force and speed at which this struggle is driven without the brakes, not with any form of call for caution and resolve, drive safely while we are onboard even with a voice high and chorus raving like the SIREN SONG OF FREEDOM.
