Children are not born knowing how to behave; they learn from the way we treat them. As parents, we have a responsibility to correct our children, but correction should never become torture, humiliation, or cruelty.

A child who is constantly beaten, insulted, threatened, or made to feel worthless may obey out of fear, but fear is not the same as respect. Behind that silence may be a child carrying pain they don’t know how to express.

Talk to your children. Listen to them. Correct them with patience. Set boundaries and discipline them when necessary, but let them know that even when they make mistakes, they are still loved.

One day, your children will grow up and remember more than the things you bought for them. They will remember how you made them feel. They will remember whether home was a place of safety or a place of fear.

Parents, raise your children with love, guidance, patience, and discipline—not cruelty. We are raising human beings, not prisoners. The goal is not to make our children afraid of us; it is to raise them to become good people who understand love, responsibility, and respect.

Being a single father to Michelle and Jasmine has taught me that fatherhood is not just about providing for your children—it is about being present for the little moments that become their biggest memories.

Today, I stood beside my two girls as I taught them how to ride a bicycle. At first, there was fear, hesitation, and a few moments of, “Daddy, don’t let me go!” But I kept encouraging them: “You can do it. Keep pedaling. Daddy is right here.”

Watching them slowly find their balance filled my heart with so much joy. They may forget how many times they fell, but I hope they will always remember that their dad was there to lift them up and tell them to try again.

Life is a lot like learning to ride a bicycle. Sometimes we fall, sometimes we are afraid, but with courage, patience, and someone who believes in us, we can get back up and keep moving.

Michelle and Jasmine, Daddy may not be perfect, but I will always do my best to guide you, protect you, encourage you, and teach you how to face life with courage.

I am not just raising two daughters; I am raising two strong women—and every little moment we share is a memory I will treasure forever. ❤️
