For the young people,

Align yourself with a powerful bloc. Identify with key actors in the political party and make your intentions known. The winner takes it all, while the loser loses everything.

By so doing, you might escape poverty caused by institutional failure.

I write this specifically for those who have graduated from a university, polytechnic, etc, within the last two to three years and do not currently have a job or business, or sustainable source of income

Even the students who will graduate this year, join a political party that has the potential to win an election. You may be able to avoid the poverty that exists in third-world countries.

While learning at least a Skill, the movement you joined might patronise you and you then explore from there. Don't be APOLOTICAL

If someone tells you not to do this, don't listen. Belong to a political or movement, The only thing that can save you in 2027 is this miracle.

If it's City boys or Village boys, just belong somewhere, you might escape poverty caused by institutional failure

Don't sit down and go entirely broke, your value, skill and craft can be upheld and patronised by the movement you belong too

Explore all the available chances to escape being poor

You are owing someone money and the person brought Police to arrest you, this is what you should do.

At first, the police have no legal authority to arrest you for a simple debt, as it is a civil matter and not a criminal offense. According to the Police Act 2020 and the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA), the police are strictly prohibited from interfering in civil disputes or acting as debt collectors

Meaning that, the Police officer the person brought to arrest you, is on illegal duty and is on a mission to perform illegal arrest.

So at this point.

1. Ask the Police officer for his ID and take note of his name

2. Calmly tell the officer it's a civil matter

3. If the officer insist on arresting you, don't resist the arrest. Follow him

4. If they ask you to sign any undertaking of when you will pay back, sign it

That undertaking is not enforceable anywhere, so no fear at all

Once you are out

File a suit against the person you owe and the Police Officer for breach of your fundamental human right and illegal arrest with unlawful detention

In the suit, demand for damages of 50 Million Naira

Ignorance of the law is no excuse

"I can't marry until I'm rich."

Cool. Enjoy being 45 with money and a wife who married your bank account, not you.

Here's the provider paradox nobody tells you...

Women don't marry billionaires. They marry potential.
Your grandfather had two goats and a dream. Your grandmother saw the dream.
Now you think you need a mansion before you can propose.

But here is the twist, you DO need to provide. Not necessarily Range Rover level. But roof-over-head, food-on-table level.

Why? Because hunger makes people desperate. And desperate people can't love, they survive.

The man who provides fully controls the temperature of the home. Not b'se women are transactional, but b'se security is the foundation of respect.

When she's worried about rent, she can't worry about pleasing you. She will struggle getting wet for you. When you're both worried about rent, you become roommates with stress.

"But she works too! She has money!"

Good. See her money as emergency funds. Not as your escape from provision.

The day you split bills 50/50 is the day you split authority 50/50. The day you split authority is the day the house divides.

I'm not saying she shouldn't work. I'm saying your hustle should cover the basics. Her hustle should be the bonus. When she knows you're the captain, she can be the first mate. When she thinks you're co-captains? Mutiny is inevitable.

The truth is, there is no romance in financial anxiety. You can't whisper sweet nothings when you're both calculating bus fare.

Fix your pockets first. Not to buy her, but to free her. Free her from worry so she can focus on being a wife, not a survivor.

The "broke and in love" phase is cute at 22. At 32, it's just tragic. Yes, tragic man...

Build. Stack. Provide. Then build some more. Not for her. For the peace of the home.

Money doesn't guarantee happiness, Elon said this yesterday. But bro, POVERTY GUARANTEES MISERY.

Be the shield. That's the job.

A woman will remember two things throughout her relationship with you:
1- The good things she did for you.
2- The bad things you do to her.

This does not make our women bad. It only means you create more memories with a woman by allowing her to invest more in your.
Investment in a relationship is never about naira and kobo but more about time, efforts, emotions, supports, guides and the strings she pulls to get you that favour.

The more she remembers the more she is more committed.

Nigerian Big Boy Accused of Impersonating Dubai Prince to Defr@ud Romanian Woman of $2.5 Million

A Nigerian socialite, Nzube Henry Ikeji, has been accused of posing as the Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to scam a Romanian woman out of millions of dollars in an elaborate romance fraud.

According to Peoples Gazette, investigations by the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) revealed that Ikeji allegedly ran a syndicate targeting foreign women seeking love online.

The victim, identified only as Laura, said she was contacted on LinkedIn three years ago by a man claiming to be Dubai’s crown prince, who initially sought her advice on humanitarian projects before turning the interaction into a romantic relationship.

As the relationship deepened, Laura was persuaded to meet a supposed financial manager in London to help set up a Barclays account. The man, later identified by British police as Martins Abhulimhen, allegedly posed under a false name and claimed to manage royal finances.

Laura was later given access to an online account showing about £202 million in her name. To withdraw the funds, she was repeatedly asked to pay fees, eventually sending about £2.5 million before realising the account was fake.

Internal disputes among the alleged scammers later exposed Ikeji’s identity to the victim. OCCRP journalists traced him to Abuja through his social media posts showcasing a lavish lifestyle, luxury cars, designer shopping trips, and multiple mansions.

When confronted, Ikeji denied the allegations but admitted knowing Abhulimhen, insisting the funds he received were donations to his foundation. A UK court has since seized £113,000 from Abhulimhen’s account for restitution to the victim, while Nigerian, British, and Romanian authorities continue investigations. No charges have been filed so far.

27/01/2026

My name is Zainab. I’m 27 years old. An SS.

That is, I live with sickle cell disease.
My parents are both AS.

Oh, they They knew.
They were told.
They still married.

They said God approved it. They said love would be enough. They said faith would cover the consequences.

I am the consequence.

I was diagnosed before I was two. My childhood memories are not playgrounds or cartoons, they are; hospitals, needles, and adults whispering when they thought I couldn’t hear.

In primary school, I missed classes so often that teachers stopped asking why. Some classmates thought I was pretending. Some thought I was cursed. I learned early how to smile while feeling different.

By secondary school, the pain episodes became more frequent. I would wake up excited for school and end the day on a hospital bed. I watched my mates grow normally while my life moved in pauses, school, hospital, recovery, repeat.

At 15, I lost my younger brother to sickle cell.
We were both SS.

That day changed me forever.

My parents broke down in front of me — crying, apologizing, saying “We followed faith. We didn’t think…”
But the damage had already been done.

Sometimes I forgive them.
Sometimes I resent them deeply.
Both feelings live in me.

In university, I tried to be normal. I joined sickle cell advocacy groups, volunteered with awareness organizations, spoke at events, encouraged parents to test their genotype. People call me strong. They call me a warrior.

What they don’t see is me crying alone at night after another silent pain episode.
They don’t see the fear that comes with planning a future in a body that doesn’t always cooperate.

And Relationships?
That’s another wound.

I’ve been loved… briefly.
The moment conversations turn serious about marriage, children, commitment….they leave. Some are honest. Some ghost me. Some promise forever and disappear quietly.

One man once said he would do anything for me. He talked about taking me abroad, better care, a life without fear. I believed him. For the first time, my heart rested.

Then one day, he stopped calling.

That heartbreak triggered one of the worst crises I’ve had as an adult. Not because of physical stress but because hope collapsed.

Now I’m older. The pain episodes come differently. Less dramatic, but more exhausting. My body recovers slower. My fears are heavier. I ask myself questions my parents never asked each other.

I am strong, yes.
But I am tired.

If you are AS and the person you love is AS, please love your unborn children enough to stop and think. Faith is not a license to ignore knowledge. I am a proof to that

I didn’t ask to be a lesson.
But if my life can prevent another child from being born into avoidable pain, then my voice matters.

That’s why I’m writing this to you. Because people listens to you and this story needs to be heard. I hope that your audience share this till it reaches those who are about to walk by faith and not by sight, Sickle Cell is real!.
