If you are a barber, you manage one for someone or you know anyone who does, share this post with them.
Over the weekend I went to get my haircut somewhere else because my barber hadn’t returned from his Christmas break.
I went in, sat down and got a good haircut without having to talk too much unlike the experience I used to have with getting my haircut from a new place.
After the guy finished, he didn’t ask me how I got to know them or something like that just to know how this new client came about. It really got me thinking.
So, if I were a barber or to be managing a brand on that, here are a few Marketing and Customer Retention Ideas I will implement.
📌For every new client that walks into my shop, I will find out how they got to know us. Did someone refer them? Were they just passing and decided to come in? This is to help us know how these clients are coming in.
📌I will collect the person’s basic details, name and phone number for bulk SMS. I won’t assume they will come back, there are many shops they could go to, so there has to be a way to make them to come back to ours.
📌When these basic details are collected, for every new or old clients that gets a haircut from us, we will send you a bulk SMS appreciating you for returning or choosing us for the first time. The message content will differ from old and new customers.
📌There will be a mixture of sweet and chewing gum on the table and this to create a memory in their heads for coming, these are not usually seen everywhere, so having it will make them think better of us and of course, we will be very good with the job.
📌Every weekend, Friday night, Saturday morning, noon, and evening, send them a text message with comic content on how great it will be for them to appear to church on Sunday looking SHARP or enter the New Week looking SHARP and this is because, we understand that not all of them will be going to church or church people, so we will balance the text message.
All of these will reflect in the amount they pay for the service so that we won’t go down trying to either acquire or retain the clients.
