Rep. member for Shira/Giade, Hon. Tanko congratulates New Emir of Giade, assures full support

The member representing Shira/Giade Federal constituency in the Nigerian house of representatives, Hon. Sani Ibrahim Tanko, has paid a congratulatory visit to the emir of the newly created Giade emirate, His Royal Highness Alhaji Sabo Abdulkadir.
The visit took place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Emir’s palace in Giade, Giade Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Sani Ibrahim Tanko congratulated the Emir and the people of Giade for the historic milestone.
“This visit is to congratulate Your Royal Highness and ourselves for the establishment of the Giade Emirate and your appointment as its pioneer Emir. We are truly pleased with this development and will continue to support you,” Hon. Tanko stated.
He also assured the Emir of his full support and cooperation and that of the people of Shira/Giade constituency in order to assist him in carrying out his traditional duties effectively.
“We promise to remain respectful and law-abiding citizens, and we will support your leadership fully,” he added.
Hon. Tanko also appreciated the executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for his unwavering commitment to the development of Giade and for signing the bill that established the Emirate.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Giade Local Government, Alhaji Manu Kura, expressed joy over the creation of the Giade Emirate and the appointment of the first Emir.
He noted that the visit, which included Hon. Tanko and other stakeholders, was to rejoice with the Emir and show their support.
“We are extremely happy and grateful to His Excellency, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir (Kauran Daular Usmaniyya), for approving the creation of the Giade Emirate and appointing you as its first Emir,” Kura said.
In his response, the Emir of Giade, Alhaji Sabo Abdulkadir, thanked Almighty Allah for granting him the opportunity to serve his people.
He also expressed deep gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed for appointing him as the first Emir of Giade.
The Emir called on political leaders to resolve their differences and work together for the progress of the Emirate.
“Development only comes when there is peace, understanding, and unity among the people,” the Emir said.
He also extended appreciation to all individuals and stakeholders who contributed to the creation of the Emirate and his appointment.
Those who accompanied Hon. Tanko on the visit included former PDP Chairman of Giade Local Government, Alhaji Auwalu Mai Doya; Alhaji Babangida Tafida; the PDP Women Leader of Giade LGA, and others.
