Bello Shinge Launches Weekly Fuel Donation to Four Major Juma'at Mosques in Misau

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial Candidate for Bauchi Central, Hon. Bello Aliyu Abubakar Shinge (Dan Galadiman Shinge), has announced the commencement of a weekly fuel donation programme to support four major Juma'at mosques in the Misau metropolis.

The initiative will see 20 litres of petrol or diesel donated every Friday to each of the selected mosques to help power their generators during Juma'at congregational prayers.

The four beneficiary mosques are:
Misau Central Juma'at Mosque,
Izala Headquarters Jos Mosque,
Izala Headquarters Kaduna Mosque, and
Dariqa Juma'at Mosque (formerly known as Inyass Mosque).

Speaking during a telephone interview with Baushe TV, Hon. Shinge said the initiative is a religious and humanitarian commitment aimed at supporting the worship of Allah and easing the financial burden on the mosques.

According to him, the programme is not driven by politics but by his sense of responsibility as a Muslim to contribute to the growth and development of Islam.

"Politics aside, we have decided to make our own contribution to our religion. It is one of our foremost responsibilities as Muslims to support Islam and assist our places of worship in whatever way we can," Shinge stated.

He explained that each of the four mosques will receive 20 litres of either petrol or diesel every Friday, depending on the type of generator in use.

"We will continue to provide the fuel every Friday, In Sha Allah, in fulfilment of our promise. Whether the mosque uses a petrol or diesel generator, we will supply the appropriate fuel needed," he added.

Hon. Shinge also called on wealthy individuals and members of the Muslim Ummah to support mosques and other religious activities according to their financial capacity, physical ability, and moral responsibility.

He stressed that collective contributions from members of the community are vital to promoting Islamic values and strengthening religious institutions.

The PDP senatorial candidate further urged Nigerians to continue praying for lasting peace, unity, and national development.

"We must continue to pray for peace, unity, and progress because Nigeria is the only country we have. It is our collective responsibility to work together and pray for its stability and prosperity," he said.

The weekly fuel donation programme is expected to reduce operational costs for the beneficiary mosques while ensuring uninterrupted power supply during Friday congregational prayers. Residents and religious leaders have described the initiative as a commendable act of charity and community service that reflects the Islamic values of generosity, compassion, and service to humanity.

A cikin saƙon ta'aziyyar da ya fitar, Hon. Shinge ya bayyana rasuwar Hajiya Hajara a matsayin babban rashi ba ga iyalan Ningi kaɗai ba, har ma ga al'ummar Musulmi da duk waɗanda s**a amfana da kyawawan ɗabi'unta, ibadarta, tausayi da kulawar uwa da take nunawa.

Allah Ya ba Sanata Abdul Ahmed Ningi, daukacin iyalan Ningi da sauran 'yan uwa da masoya haƙuri da juriya wajen ɗaukar wannan babban rashi. Amin."

Hon. Shinge ya ƙara da cewa rasuwar uwa na daga cikin mafi girman jarabawar rayuwa, inda ya buƙaci iyalan mamaciyar da su kasance masu haƙuri tare da yarda da ƙaddarar Allah, sannan su ci gaba da yi mata addu'a.

Bauchi PDP Governorship Candidate, Sufi Condoles Misau Emir, Families of Seven Motor Accident Victims

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Bauchi State, Hon. Usman Adamu Sufi, on Sunday paid a condolence visit to the Emir of Misau, Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman, mni, and families of seven persons killed in a road accident along the Misau–Bauchi highway.

Sufi said the visit was to identify with the bereaved families, the Emirate Council, and the entire people of Misau Emirate over the tragic loss.

Speaking during the visit, Sagir Muhammad, Maajin Bauchi, said the delegation came to offer prayers for the repose of the deceased and to share in the grief of the community.

"We are here to condole with the Emir of Misau, the families of the deceased, and the entire Misau Emirate. We pray that Almighty Allah forgives the departed souls and grants them Aljannatul Firdaus. We also pray that Allah gives their families the strength and patience to bear this painful loss," he said.

In his remarks, Hon. Sufi described the accident as a heartbreaking tragedy that had affected not only Misau but the entire state.

"The loss of these respected members of the community is a great tragedy. We pray that Almighty Allah forgives their shortcomings, grants them eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus, and comforts their families during this difficult period. We also pray for peace, safety, and unity in Bauchi State and Nigeria," he said.

The PDP candidate further appealed to the Emirate Council and the Muslim community to continue offering special prayers for the victims and for lasting peace and security across the country.

Responding, the Emir of Misau, Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman, mni, thanked Sufi and his delegation for the visit, describing it as a demonstration of compassion and solidarity.

The Emir prayed that Allah would reward the delegation, grant them a safe return, and continue to protect their families.

The condolence visit was attended by the PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate, PDP House of Representatives candidate for Misau/Dambam Federal Constituency, Hon. Sen. Hamma Misau Applauds APC Reconciliation Committee, Calls For Unity Ahead Of 2027

Senator Isah Hamma Misau, mni, has commended the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) High-Powered Reconciliation Committee in Bauchi State, describing it as a timely step toward party unity and electoral preparedness ahead of 2027.

The committee was inaugurated in a low-key ceremony in Abuja, and is led by Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate. Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, chairs the committee, with Bauchi State APC Chairman, Muhammad Hassan Tilde, as Deputy Chairman.

The panel is mandated to engage party leaders, stakeholders, and members across Bauchi’s 20 local government areas to resolve internal disputes, promote reconciliation, and foster lasting peace within the party.

Speaking after the inauguration, Senator Misau expressed optimism that the committee would address lingering misunderstandings that have affected the APC in the state.

“We are confident that this high-powered committee will bring all aggrieved members together, resolve outstanding differences, and reposition the APC for greater success. Unity is the foundation of victory, and with this initiative we can focus on strengthening the party and preparing for future elections,” he said.

He urged party members at all levels to cooperate with the committee through dialogue, forgiveness, and mutual respect, stressing that collective interest must supersede personal and factional considerations.

Political observers say the reconciliation drive is a significant move to consolidate the APC in Bauchi as leaders work to rebuild confidence and present a united front ahead of the 2027 general elections.

OPEN LETTER TO THE CONCERNED CITIZENS OF THE KATAGUM EMIRATE

Rising Youth Gang Violence in Azare: The Time for Collective Action is Now

Azare, the headquarters of Katagum Local Government Area in Bauchi State, has long been regarded as one of the most peaceful urban centers in the North-East.

The town is known for peaceful coexistence, commerce, and hospitality. However, recent reports of increasing youth gang activities are a growing source of concern for residents. These groups are popularly referred to as Yan Daba in Kano, Yan Sara S**a in Bauchi, and Yan Kalare in Gombe.

Although these groups are known by different names across Northern Nigeria, they engage in similar criminal activities. These include street violence, theft, drug abuse, intimidation, and the destruction of public and private property. If left unchecked, such activities threaten the peace, security, and economic prosperity that Azare has enjoyed for many years.

A Call to Collective Action:
This is the time for all stakeholders in the Katagum Emirate to unite. Traditional rulers, religious leaders, community elders, youth organizations, parents, civil society groups, and political leaders must work closely with the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to prevent the situation from escalating.

Security is a shared responsibility. While government has the constitutional duty to protect lives and property, communities also have an important role to play. This includes providing credible information to security agencies, discouraging youth involvement in criminal activities, and promoting peace through dialogue and community engagement.

Parents and guardians must pay closer attention to the activities of their children and wards. Schools, religious institutions, and community organizations should intensify efforts to promote moral values, discipline, and productive engagement for young people.

At the same time, government should invest in job creation, vocational training, sports, and entrepreneurship programs to address unemployment and idleness, which often contribute to youth involvement in crime.

The Bauchi State Government and security agencies should strengthen intelligence gathering, increase patrols in identified flashpoints, and ensure that anyone found violating the law is arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law. A firm but lawful response will deter criminality while protecting the rights of innocent citizens.

The people of the Katagum Emirate must not allow a few criminal elements to tarnish the image of Azare. Preserving the town’s peaceful reputation requires unity, vigilance, and decisive action from both government and the community.

The time to act is now. Preventing crime is always better than responding after lives have been lost and property destroyed. Together, we can keep Azare safe, peaceful, and prosperous for present and future generations.
