As a single lady, let me say this loud and clear: money should be the last thing on your list when choosing a man.

Before you roll your eyes, I’m not saying money is not important. It is. It helps. It makes life easier.

But let’s be honest, money can disappear. Jobs can be lost. Businesses can crash. The economy can turn upside down without warning.

What won’t disappear is his character.
His mentality.
His values.
His beliefs.
How he treats people when things aren’t going his way.
How he talks to his mother and house help.
Whether he sees women as partners or property.
Whether he apologizes when he’s wrong or doubles down with pride.
Whether he is the type to build with you or break you down.

Because when life shakes him, and it will, it’s not money that will hold your home together. It’s who he is at his core.

Marry a man with substance, not just salary.
Marry a man with sense, not just swag.
Marry a man with depth, not just digits in his account.

Money is good. But money without character? That’s a disaster waiting to happen.

Choose wisely.

If you give up, na you lose.

Less than 15 years, I attempted to unalive myself. I graduated with First Class but no job. Life was very tough. I was very broke.

About 14 years ago, I started my first job and my take home salary was 30,000 naira.

Less than 13 years, I touched 1 million naira for the first time in my life. That day I couldn't stop checking my bank balance.

More than 12 years ago, I boarded flight for the first time in my life.

Less than 11 years, I was desperate for scholarships to Japa. I considered Mexico, Costa Rica and South Korea as options.

Less than 10 years ago, I was washing plates, sweeping stadiums, packing meat in cold rooms, tending bars and waiting tables as my job in the UK. I had my Msc.

Sometimes, I sit down and think what a life I would have missed if I gave up. I have travelled to six continents and God has been faithful in many other affairs of my life.

Time changes yesterday. Life gets better with time if you don't give up.

Remember, life will not be good to you because you deserve it, life will only give to you what you demand from it.

If you give up na you lose.
