🔎 Jury Duty Calls!
Hello Super Jury Fam! Another Sunday, another tangled tale. Who’s guilty? Who’s bluffing? You be the judge and the warden!
🎙️Jury Sunday Case File: “Who Really Broke the Code?”
Ose is a revenue agent at a busy motor park. His job is to collect daily dues from commercial drivers and send the money to the main office. But Ose doesn’t work alone, he has a group of boys who go around the park collecting the money for him. At the end of the day, they give all they’ve collected to Ose, who then remits the agreed amount to the office.
Among his boys, one stood out, Amos. He was not just a regular boy; Amos was Ose's right-hand man. In fact, they were both given control of the zone by the office. But strangely, Amos chose to remain among the collectors, while Ose stayed at the top giving instructions.
Now here’s where the case begins.
Ose and Amos had a secret deal. After sending the required amount to the office, the remaining money, the "extra" would be shared between them. But soon, Amos noticed something fishy.
Every day, Ose's share of the extra was always bigger. Sometimes, Amos wouldn’t even get anything. He complained to Ose, but instead of listening, Ose got angry and called Amos greedy and ungrateful.
Amos didn’t like the disrespect. So one day, he went straight to the office and told the bosses, “If you put me in charge instead of Ose, I can remit more money to the office daily.” The bosses agreed immediately. Just like that, Amos became the head, and Ose was pushed down to assistant.
Now Ose feels betrayed. He has vowed to frustrate Amos' new leadership. In his words:
“Pikin wey say him mama no go sleep, him too no go sleep.”
But Amos has also responded:
“Anybody wey say I no go see food chop, no go see bread for him own table.”
