SIX MONTHS IN ONE BED
(The secret covenant)

Chapter 1 (Craving for him)

"Babe, for several days now we've not talked. Your line has been unreachable every time I called," Alice said, taking a few steps closer to Catherine, who suddenly began smiling like someone who had won a lottery.

"Catherine, talk to me. I'm curious." Alice added.

One could see eagerness and worry in her eyes.

"Alice, you have to calm your nerves down, okay? Your baby is fine." Catherine said softly, her face still glowing with a smile, then she sank comfortably into the couch.

Alice, who had been anticipating her response, did the same — sitting opposite her, the center table between them.

"I'm all ears," Alice leaned forward.

"Okay, okay…" Catherine paused, taking a deep breath.

"Talk na! I am losing my patience!" Alice screamed.

Catherine chuckled.

"Calm down… Charles has proposed to me, and we’re getting married in six months!" she blurted out, her voice dripping with excitement.

"My goodness! Babe! Come give me a hug — come give your baby a hug!" Alice screamed in shock and joy.

Catherine quickly stood up, and they dove into a passionate, giggly hug that lasted a few seconds.

"I'm really happy for you, Catherine. I can't even contain the joy in me right now," Alice said, her voice sincere as they pulled apart.

"Thank you so much, Alice. Thanks for sharing my happiness."

"Why won’t I? If I don't, who will?" Alice teased playfully.

"Ask me oh!" They both laughed.

Suddenly, Catherine grew quiet and stared at Alice thoughtfully.

"Babe, guess what?" Catherine said.

"What? You know I'm bad when it comes to guessing. Just tell me," Alice murmured with a feeble smile.

"Well… it's not really a surprise anyway. I just wanted to pull your legs. Charles agreed that you're going to be my chief bridesmaid."

Just then, the sound of her phone interrupted.

"Excuse me, please. It’s him calling," Catherine said with a playful side-eye and answered.

"Yes, babe," she responded softly to the voice on the other end.

"Really? You mean, right now?" she asked.

Alice, who had been blushing all this while, knew immediately that Charles must have had another surprise for her best friend.

"Of course, I'll be on my way shortly," Catherine affirmed.

After the call ended, she turned to Alice.

"Babe, I’ll be leaving soon. Charles said I should come over to his place."

"Awwwn! God, when will I marry? I can't wait to have a husband who’ll call me like this too," Alice said dramatically, making Catherine burst into laughter.

"This girl, you no go kill me oh!" Catherine laughed, trying to catch her breath.

"I'm serious, Catherine. Sometimes I get jealous when I think about you and Charles. I wish for a man like him too." Alice pouted.

"No jealous oh… Your man go come. It’s all a matter of time. I have to go now before he gets mad that I’m taking too long."

They hugged once more before Catherine left.

AT CHARLES' HOUSE

Charles was a wealthy man in his early thirties. He was fair-skinned, and a shorter man would likely find his height intimidating.

He was a natural introvert, known for his quiet, reserved nature — a trait shaped by the tough circumstances of his upbringing. He had been an orphan all his life.

As he sat on the sofa scrolling through his phone, the door swung open. He looked up, already knowing who it was.

"Catherine," he said warmly, standing up as she walked in.

She smiled and melted into his embrace.

"I've missed you," she whispered softly.

"Missed me? You left here this morning." He chuckled, looking into her eyes.

"I know... but I can’t help it. You’ve been on my mind all day. I just needed to see you again."

Charles smiled, holding her a little closer.

"I can't get enough of you either," he admitted quietly.

Catherine gazed at him, her heart racing — not from desire, but from the overwhelming comfort and love she felt in his arms.

"I'm so lucky to have you, Charles. I don't know what I'd do without you," she murmured.

He gently brushed a stray lock of hair behind her ear.

"You’ll never have to find out," he promised, his voice low and reassuring.

Catherine leaned her head on his chest, feeling safe, loved, and complete — like she was exactly where she was meant to be.

“Bàbé, when will you make me feel like yours completely? I can’t stop longing to share that part of us."," Catherine whispered.

Charles gazed into her eyes, gently wrapping his arm around her waist.

Her heart fluttered, thudding faster than before.

"Are you sure this is what you want?" he asked softly.

"Yes," she breathed. "I've wanted this for so long." Please read the notice below:

THE THREE WIVES 🥷👯‍♀️👭
Prologue

Growing up in northern Nigeria broadened my perspective and allowed me to explore other cities, gaining valuable insights. Contrary to popular narratives, I observed that more men have single wives than multiple wives. As a 28-year-old, I've had the opportunity to explore and understand how things work. I chose to marry three wives, not because I believe all men are polygamous by nature, but because it's what I wanted, and I have my reasons.

I met Amina in secondary school, where we attended the same institution. As her senior, I helped her with assignments, and we eventually fell in love, keeping our relationship a secret from school and our parents. After secondary school, I went to university, and Amina's father sent her to the United States to study medicine and surgery.

Amina was a kind and peaceful soul, with stunning beauty, a mix of Hausa and Fulani heritage. I affectionately call her "Yar Albarka" (daughter of grace) and "Budurwar Samarchi Na" (girlfriend of my youth).

After secondary school, I gained admission to Lagos State University to study Pharmacy. There, I met incredible and loyal individuals who welcomed me with open arms. In no time, I found myself embracing their lifestyle. During my time in Lagos, I met Ayomi, a Mass Communications student. We met while I was campaigning for Student Union Government (SUG) president, and she was running for Social Director. As we spent more time together, I fell deeply in love with her, and we started dating. Ayomi's captivating smile drove me crazy, and her gentle, calm, and cute demeanor, complemented by her caramel skin, made her even more beautiful. What drew me to her even more was her gentle spirit but you won’t want to taste her other side - she was a breathing volcano. I affectionately called her Ololufemi. (My beloved)

After completing my studies, I did my internship in Lagos, largely because of Ayomide. However, when I finished and was ready to serve my country, I was posted to Imo State. I fell in love with the state, which I never wanted to leave. The weather was amazing, the people were calm and loving, and everywhere I went, I saw beautiful ladies who brightened my day. During my service, I worked at a specialist hospital, where I met Chiamaka, wai no Dey disappoint.

I met Amaka, a biochemist, while on an errand to take my HOD's wife to the lab for some tests. Upon arrival, I saw Chiamaka intently working on a microscope. It was love at first sight. Her flawless, spotless fair skin, charming smile, pretty face, and captivating figure left me breathless. Her endowments, particularly her ukwu (waist) and nyash (buttocks), made me forget my purpose. (That Nyash ohhho omg) We struck up a conversation, and she won my heart with her exceptional cooking skills. I knew I was deeply in love when she prepared an award-winning Ofe Nsala soup. I do call her Ugo nne . (My pride)

I ensured that all my wives were aware that I wasn't exclusive to only one of them. One thing they appreciate about me is my honesty and transparency - except when it comes to my finances. I keep my income private, but I make sure they're well taken care of. When I revealed my intention to marry all of them, not everyone was pleased, especially Chiamaka. However, I used my charming personality to win her over. Family-wise, it wasn't a smooth ride, especially with Amina, as she was a Muslim and I was a Christian. We had to prove to our parents that our love was stronger than our religious differences. Eventually, they agreed and gave us their blessings. Similarly, I had to win over the families of Ayomide and Chiamaka, and I managed to do so, one way or another.

I married Amina as my first wife, followed by Ayomide, and then Chiamaka, all within the space of a week. We faced criticism from people online and some family members, but we were determined to follow our hearts. I must say, it was one of the best decisions I made. ("not always sha")

Welcome to the WAZOBIA Household! My three wives and I reside together in a beautiful compound, where I've built three duplexes connected to the master duplex, my private quarters.

Life in our household is a mixed bag - blessed and chaotic, depending on the day. As the man of the house, I have the final say, but it's not always easy. With multiple personalities and approaches to life, disagreements arise, but love and respect keep us united.

This picture of us smiling together? It didn't happen overnight. There's a story behind it, just like the story of how I came to marry three incredible women.

Join me on this journey into the heart of the WAZOBIA Household, where you'll encounter chaos, love, revenge, laughter, and joy. Get ready for an unforgettable ride!"

(PART 1) Doctor Mistakenly Injects Infertile Billionaire's S***m into Virgin's Uterus and this happened…
A doctor accidentally injects s***m intended for artificial insemination into a college student’s uterus, leading to an unexpected pregnancy for the virgin Sophia. Leo, the CEO of a major beer company and the wealthiest, most sought-after man in the area, had battled cancer at the height of his career, which left him infertile.
Sophia walked into the small, quiet hospital with a sense of calm, her mind drifting away from the stress of her college life. She had spent the last few weeks buried in books, trying to keep up with her coursework. But today was different. Today, she was here for something routine—a simple checkup. Her best friend, Nnena, had insisted she go, saying that it was better to be safe than sorry. Sophia agreed, but deep down, she felt no reason to worry. After all, she was a healthy 19-year-old college student, with no history of medical issues.
She sat in the waiting room, flicking through a magazine and waiting for her name to be called. The hospital smelled faintly of antiseptic, and the low hum of voices mixed with the occasional beep of equipment. Sophia’s mind wandered to other things, to the semester ahead, to the presentation she was supposed to deliver in class next week.
Then, the nurse called her name. Sophia stood up, brushing her loose braids behind her ear. She followed the nurse down the hallway, her footsteps echoing in the sterile silence. She was led into a small room and asked to change into a hospital gown, a simple request she had done countless times before.
While Sophia changed, the nurse seemed to be in a rush, glancing at the computer screen in the corner of the room. Sophia didn’t think much of it at the time. The nurse wasn’t the most attentive, she was always distracted whenever she was assisting with her routine checkups. When Sophia finished and sat on the examination bed, the doctor entered the room. He smiled politely, but his eyes looked tired.
“Good afternoon, Miss Sophia,” the doctor greeted her. “We’re just going to do a quick checkup today as usual. Nothing to worry about.”
Sophia smiled back, trying to relax. The doctor went through the usual motions—listening to her heartbeat, checking her blood pressure, and asking a few questions about her general health. But then, he paused. He looked down at the computer screen in front of him and seemed puzzled for a moment.
“There seems to be a... mix-up with your file,” the doctor said, tapping the keyboard. “It’s a little unusual, but it looks like you’ve been marked as a candidate for a fertility procedure. Are you sure there’s been no mistake?”
Sophia’s heart skipped a beat. Fertility procedure? That didn’t make any sense. She had never been pregnant, and the last thing she needed was fertility treatment.
“Wait, what do you mean? I’m just here for a checkup,” Sophia said, trying to sound calm.
The doctor nodded, but his face was still creased with confusion. “I’ll have to check with the staff. It might be a mix-up with another patient. You don’t need to worry about anything right now. Let’s just finish your routine examination, and I’ll take care of the rest.”
Sophia didn’t know what to think. Was this a mistake? Her mind raced, but she tried to remain calm, hoping it was just some misunderstanding. After the doctor completed the checkup, he told her he would sort things out and let her know what was going on. She dressed quickly and waited in the examination room, her thoughts spiraling.
Meanwhile, at a private clinic across town, Leo sat alone in a stark white office, staring at the paperwork in front of him. He was a man who had achieved everything he had ever wanted. A successful CEO of a thriving wine company, a millionaire with everything at his fingertips, but something was missing—something he could never have.
It had been a few years since Leo had been diagnosed with cancer, and the treatment had left him infertile. He had always dreamt of becoming a father, of raising a child with the love of his life, Anabel. But she had made it clear that she didn’t want children.
Anabel was beautiful, a famous supermodel whose career came first. She wasn’t interested in motherhood. Leo had tried to make it work, but their relationship was strained. She wasn’t the woman he thought she was, and their marriage was barely holding together. Still, he held onto the hope that he might one day be a father, even if it meant relying on a surrogate mother.
The clinic had been his decision. It was a way to ensure that he could still have a child, even though he couldn’t father one himself. He had left a s***m sample with the clinic, and for the past few months, they had been searching for a surrogate. Leo had no idea that the clinic had mixed up his file with someone else’s, and that his s***m would soon be injected into a young woman who had no idea about the life that was about to grow inside her.
Back at the hospital, Sophia sat nervously in the waiting room as time passed. She could hear hushed conversations between the hospital staff outside the door. The doctor came back in, holding a clipboard with a serious look on his face.
“Miss Sophia,” he began, “I’m afraid there’s been a mistake. Your file was swapped with another patient’s. It looks like you’ve been given a procedure that wasn’t intended for you the last time you came in for your check up.”
Sophia’s heart pounded in her chest. “What do you mean? What procedure?”
The doctor hesitated. “It seems that you were mistakenly given a fertility treatment that was meant for someone else. You’re pregnant.”
Sophia’s breath caught in her throat. “Pregnant?” she whispered, her hands trembling. “But but I’ve never been with anyone. I’m a virgin!”
The doctor blinked, clearly taken aback by her response. “This... this doesn’t make sense. We will need to run some tests, but it seems your body has already accepted the pregnancy. I... I’m sorry. This is a very unusual situation.”
Sophia’s mind spun in a whirlwind of confusion. How could this happen? How could she, a college student, find herself pregnant from a mistake? And how could the father of this child be someone she had never met, someone she didn’t even know existed?
Meanwhile, Leo’s life was about to take a turn he hadn’t expected either. The clinic had just informed him that the surrogate carrying his child wasn’t carrying his child at all.
“Mr. Leo,” the nurse on the other end of the line said, “there’s been an issue. The surrogate you chose isn’t pregnant with your s***m. There’s been a mix-up with the files.”
Leo’s heart sank. The world seemed to tilt around him. What did this mean? His dream of becoming a father was slipping further away.

PASTOR’S WIFE IS PREGNANT FOR A MAD MAN

EPISODE 2

Amaka, at first, took solace in the reports. If doctors say both of us are fine, then God will surely come through for us. But as years passed, their hope began to diminish. She was tired of the unending fasts, the midnight prayers, and the prophet’s oil anointing her belly.

Each time she complained to her husband about how unhappy she was, he would console her and tell her to wait for God’s time.

They both continued with the fasting and prayers, begging God to give them a child to call their own.

Days turned into weeks and weeks into months. Immediately their marriage clocked four years, people and mostly, their church members, began to whisper about their childlessness.

The burden of childlessness in an African home is heavier for a woman. Society rarely holds the man accountable. It is the woman who is mocked, pitied, and labeled a failure. Amaka bore the weight of this shame, and despite Daniel’s constant words of comfort, she could feel his silent suffering.

Church members, though outwardly respectful, often whispered behind their back.

"A man of God, who prays and heals people doesn’t have a child to call his own?" they murmured.

"One day, Mrs Amaka was in the toilet, at her husband’s office when she overheard the church’s women leaders gossiping about her.

A woman this beautiful, yet barren? Even her most anointed husband, who prays and God answers has not been able to successfully ask God for a child, one of them said.

Who knows what his wife must have done with herself as a single lady? She is too beautiful and I know men must have been all over her,” another chipped in

Some women mess themselves up when they are still single, sleeping around and terminating pregnancies, and then they end up in church, acting all innocent, she added.

Amaka broke down in the toilet and cried bitterly. “Dear God, please put this people to shame by giving me my own child, even if it is just one. You know I didn’t mess myself up. Please prove this woman wrong, she prayed as she continued to cry.

Some of pastor Daniel’s family members even suggested he took a second wife, but he would shut them down immediately. Amaka is my wife, and that is final.

Despite the talks and stares, Daniel and Amaka held onto their faith, seeking divine intervention. Pastor Daniel refused to go for further fertility treatment as suggested by his wife one night as they laid in bed to sleep. Written by Hilda's Forum

“We have visited two different clinics and have been certified okay. Let’s continue to pray and fast. I know that God will bless us with children, he assured her. They continued with prayer and fasting.

Amaka continued to give food to the strange mad man whenever she saw him sitting at his usual spot.

After they celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary, Amaka’s mother became very worried and called her daughter.

“Come over to the village as soon as you can, she told her as soon as she picked up.

Amaka travelled to the village three days later and her mother took her to meet a renowned female herbalist, who was said to have helped a lot of women conceive. Written by Hilda's Forum

The old woman took her hands, examined her palms, and said, “Your womb is not closed, but something is blocking it.”

“What do I do, Mama?” Amaka asked desperately.

The woman then gave her a mixture of herbs and roots, instructing her to boil them and drink every night before going to bed.

She also gave her a particular one and asked her to take it during her ovulation after which she must lay with her husband. They thanked the woman, paid for the herbs and returned home.

Amaka returned to Oyo and took the herbs exactly as prescribed. The bitter taste almost made her throw up, but she forced it down, hoping it would work. Her husband was by her side, encouraging her to take it. She also took the special herb during her ovulation and she laid with her husband.

Days turned into weeks, and still, nothing happened.

They continued to hope and pray until something unexpected happened…

PASTOR’S WIFE IS PREGNANT FOR A MAD MAN

EPISODE 1

The wedding of Pastor Daniel Chijioke and Sister Amaka was the talk of the town. It was a union that seemed ordained by heaven itself.

Daniel was a fiery young pastor, anointed and charismatic, serving as the youth pastor at the House of Gold Church, a fast-growing ministry in Lagos, founded by a vibrant 60-year-old man, Bishop Joseph Coker.

Pastor Daniel was also a web developer and had lots of clients. He also did online training for young and aspiring web designers and he made a lot of money from it

Amaka, on the other hand, a well-known interior decorator, was the definition of a virtuous woman, gentle, supportive, and prayerful.

Pastor Daniel and Sis Amaka’s love story started when Amaka, who was a chorister, led the ministration at the vigil one night.

She sang so well and everyone present felt the spirit of God descend that night.

Pastor Daniel took interest in her immediately and decided then, that he had found his wife. He had always prayed for a spiritual woman that would help him grow in his ministry as a pastor.

He approached her two weeks later after a Sunday service. He asked her for her name. they chatted for a while after which they exchanged contact. That was how their journey started.

Their love story was one many of the church members admired and they agreed that Sis Amaka was indeed the right woman for pastor Daniel.

Their wedding was nothing short of a grand affair. It was graced by different ministers of God from the church’s other branches and other denominations.

The people showered them with love, gifts and prayers as they tied the knot.

One year after their wedding, Bishop Joseph, the founder of the church, transferred pastor Daniel and his wife to head another branch of the church in Oyo. It was a rural church, located in a small town.

The house which they lived in, was also owned by the church and was about 20 minutes’ drive away from the church building.

The bishop bought them a brand-new Toyota Camry to make their movement to and from church easier. Pastor Daniel gave the car to his wife, while he continued to drive their old car.

Amaka continued with her Interior decoration services. She travelled to the big cities and towns from time to time, to attend to her clients whenever she got any contracts.

Depending on their schedule and programme, they sometimes went to church in their individual cars.
The church grew rapidly, under their care.

Pastor Daniel’s anointing remained topnotch. With a contagious passion for spreading the Word, he continued to deliver sermons that were both inspiring and thought-provoking.

His warm smile, infectious laughter, and genuine love for his congregation created a welcoming atmosphere that made everyone feel at home.

As Mrs. Amaka drove to church, she always saw a madman dressed in very dirty and tattered clothes, sitting alone on the side of the road. He was quiet and looked very malnourished. Written by Hilda's Forum

For some strange reasons, she felt sorry for him and decided to help.

She started bringing him snacks like bread, cookies, and soft drinks. After sometime, she began to pack cooked food from the house, for the man.

Whenever she saw him, she would stop her car, roll down the window, and pass the food to him. She would smile and say hello sir.

The man would collect the food without saying a word and begin to devour it immediately. He never spoke to her even for once.

She derived an inexplainable joy, giving food to the strange madman and she looked forward to seeing him and helping him every week.

Although, her husband, Pastor Daniel was not comfortable with her generosity towards a madman, he kept quiet and reluctantly stopped the car for her to give the mad man food, whenever they rode in the same car.

Despite all these wonderful qualities from the couple, beneath the outward glamour of their marital bliss, Pastor Daniel’s home was not entirely a happy one.

After three years of getting married to his wife Amaka, there was no sign of pregnancy. Mrs Amaka was not happy at all and so was her husband, the pastor. Written by Hilda's Forum

They visited two different fertility clinics for checkups and fertility treatment. After series of test, both of them were certified okay.

“You are both perfectly fine. There is no medical reason why you shouldn’t conceive”, the doctor told them.

He encouraged them to make love frequently. They did exactly as they were told.

Yet, Amaka couldn’t get pregnant.

She continued to feed the mad man anytime she came across him at his usual spot.

Little did she know that she was going to have an encounter with the mad man. One that would threaten their marriage and home they have labored to build…

03/02/2025

He unmasked his face and what I saw shocked the life out of me.

It was my father.

Daddy?

What are you doing in my room, and why are you headed to my bed?

I was confused as I tried to wrap my head around the whole thing.

No no no I screamed. Don't tell me it's been you Daddy. So it's been you all this while. Is this why no matter how I complained to you, you never cared.

What is your mission Daddy? What do you want from me? I am your daughter. Your sweet little girl.

You promised me that it would be the both of us for life.

Yes baby it would be the both of us for life, till eternity my father said as he grabbed me and threw me on the bed.

Then he forcefully had his way with me.

I cried, I screamed, I begged him to stop but he strongly covered my mouth with his palms and accomplished his mission.

That night I was broken.
I was shattered. I watched my world, my life crumble before my eyes.

The pain I felt that night was unexplainable. I didn't have anyone to talk to.

As I dressed up in the morning to go to school I noticed the door was locked. I called my Father to open the door for me but he told me that from that day onwards I will be home schooled.

He has contacted a teacher that would be coming to the house everyday to teach me

That day marked the beginning of my journey to another life.
A life I never knew existed.

From that day I never left the house for anything.
And every night my father would come and satisfy himself with me.

He told me that he missed my mother badly and he was doing what he was doing just to protect me.

He promised me that he wouldn't marry another wife because he couldn't stand someone else maltreating me and since he wouldn't be marrying another wife I would have to stand in for my late mother.

Gradually I became a shadow of myself.
Excommunicated from the world and friends.

My father even started telling neighbors that asked of me that I am now staying with his sister abroad.

Then came my lesson teacher.
Mr Benson.
I saw him and sincerely wished I had a female lesson teacher.
Someiwhom I can talk to.

Mr Benson would stay with me from morning till evening and goes at anytime my father comes home from work.

I noticed the way he looked at me sometimes. He started with forcing me to go and bathe once my father leaves even though he knows I have already had my bath.
Then he would sit by the bathroom door and watch me bath.
Then he moved to being the one to give me a bath which would take close to two hours and left me in tears.

He threatened to unalive me if I dared resist him or say a word to my father.

I know you are your father's satisfaction equipment and I see how fresh and happy he looks.
Baby girl if you can give it to your father, then you can give it to me
Just do to me whatever you do to your Father.
Mr Benson would always say to me.

We no longer take lessons as all we do is bath, then he satisfied himself with me,we eat and the cycle continues till my Dad gets back.

It was the end of the road for me.

I have already given up on life but I never
Knew that this is the beginning of the many things that would happen in my life.

One afternoon as we were having lunch my father looked at me and said.

Annie, you are such a beautiful girl.
You know your mother promise to bear me many children but tragically she didn't live long enough to fulfill her promise now that you are sixteen. I think it's time for you to fulfill that promise so that her death would not be in vain.

I was shocked and more terrified. But then I kept asking myself what does my dad mean by so that her death would not be in vain. I hope he didn't kill my mother just to have hos way with me.

Mr Benson came to the house as usual and immediately my father left. We went down to the day's business as usual. But as we were on it my father came into the house and to my greatest surprise instead of him scolding Mr Benson I saw him un******ng to join us in the bathroom.

No No this is not happening I cried and fainted.

My mother's mistake

Episode 3

Morning came, but it did not bring peace. My heart still pounded from the warning Queen Adara had given me.

"He will not live, Amina. If you do not leave him… he will die."

I stared at my reflection in the mirror, my hands trembling. My eyes were swollen from crying all night.

Could they really kill Daniel? Could they take his life just because I loved him?

A knock on the door startled me. My mother’s voice followed.

"Amina, are you awake?"

I quickly wiped my face and opened the door. She stood there, her eyes filled with concern.

"You didn't eat last night," she said. "And you look pale. Is something wrong?"

I wanted to tell her everything. To confess that her only daughter was caught between two worlds. That I had a spiritual husband who wouldn't let me go. That if I didn’t leave Daniel, he would die.

But I couldn’t. She would never believe me.

"I'm fine, Mama," I whispered.

She frowned. "Are you sure?"

I forced a smile. "Yes."

She reached out and touched my face gently. "Amina… I had another dream last night."

My stomach tightened.

"I saw shadows around you," she continued. "They were whispering your name. I called for you, but you didn’t hear me. You just… disappeared."

A chill ran down my spine.

I forced myself to laugh. "Mama, it's just a dream."

She didn’t smile. "Is it?"

Her gaze held mine for a long time. Then, with a deep sigh, she turned and walked away.

I closed the door, pressing my back against it.

My mother was getting closer to the truth. And if she ever found out what I truly was… she would regret ever bringing me into this world.

I had to see Daniel. I needed to warn him.

As soon as I stepped out of the house, I spotted him waiting at the end of the street, smiling as he always did.

My heart ached.

He didn’t know what I was. He didn’t know the danger he was in.

"Amina!" he called, jogging toward me. "I’ve been waiting for you."

I smiled, but it didn’t reach my eyes. "Daniel… I need to talk to you."

He took my hands, concern flashing across his face. "What’s wrong?"

I swallowed hard. "We… we can’t be together anymore."

His grip tightened. "What? Why?"

Tears filled my eyes. "Because… I’m not who you think I am."

He frowned. "Amina, whatever it is, we can—"

"No!" I cried, pulling away. "You don’t understand! If I don’t leave you, you will die!"

Daniel stared at me. "What are you talking about?"

I sobbed. "Just stay away from me, please!"

He grabbed my shoulders. "No, Amina! I love you! Tell me what’s going on!"

I shook my head violently. "You won’t understand!"

Then, suddenly, a strong wind blew around us. The sky darkened. The air turned icy.

Daniel shivered. "What is happening?"

I gasped in horror. They were watching us.

And they were angry.

A deep, cold voice whispered in my ear.

"You were warned, Amina."

My knees buckled. Daniel caught me.

"Amina!" he shouted.

Pain exploded in my chest. I couldn’t breathe. I clutched my heart, my vision blurring.

The last thing I heard before darkness swallowed me was Queen Adara’s voice, soft and merciless.

"If you do not leave him, we will take him now."

Then, everything went black.

When I woke up, I was lying in my mother’s arms, surrounded by panicked whispers.

Daniel was on the ground, unconscious.

My mother was crying.

And someone was screaming…

"He's not breathing!"

To be continued..
