Relationship talk by Ambassador Samuel
Why Are Believers Silent About Relationships?
Many believers avoid relationship discussions, thinking it’s carnal. But love and companionship were God’s design from the beginning (Genesis 2:18). Ignoring relationships doesn’t make them less important—it only leaves many unprepared.
Compatibility Over Emotions
"Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" – Amos 3:3
A godly relationship is more than emotions; it requires compatibility in faith, values, and life direction. Love is not just about feelings—it’s about choosing someone who aligns with your purpose.
"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." – Proverbs 31:30
Attraction fades, but shared convictions and godly character sustain a relationship. Choosing based on wisdom, not just emotions, leads to lasting peace.
Feelings Shouldn’t Lead You
Even Jesus had emotions—He wept, loved, and showed compassion—but He was never controlled by them. Feelings can mislead if not guided by wisdom. A relationship built only on emotions will struggle when challenges arise.
Instead of letting emotions drive decisions:
Pray and seek wisdom before committing.
Assess compatibility beyond attraction.
Choose purposefully, not impulsively.
*Final Thought*
A godly relationship should strengthen your faith, not weaken it. True love is not just about emotions but alignment, wisdom, and purpose.
DO NOT BUILD A RELATIONSHIP ON TEMPORARY FEELINGS.
Before you build a relationship, take your time and study your personality. Know yourself first.
