Customer service is NOT a support department. It’s a revenue department.
And the sad truth? Most businesses don’t realize they are losing money every single day because of poor client communication

Over the past 5+ years in customer service and cold calling, I’ve handled situations that most people would panic over. Refund requests worth millions. Angry clients demanding immediate solutions. Leads that went cold because of one careless message.

Here’s what I learned: companies don’t lose clients because their products are bad. They lose clients because their systems for communication and client handling are weak or broken.
Let me break this down:
1️⃣ Slow response time – In today’s digital world, customers expect speed. A 24-hour delay is too long. Each hour a client waits without a response is an hour of doubt growing in their mind. Slow communication signals “I don’t care,” even if you do.

2️⃣ Defensive tone – How often do you see companies respond to complaints with defensiveness? “This isn’t our fault.” “You’re mistaken.” Customers don’t want arguments. They want acknowledgment and solutions. Your tone can make or break the relationship instantly.

3️⃣ Weak follow-ups – Most businesses follow up once and give up. Others send desperate messages that repel instead of converting. A follow-up is not about chasing. It’s about guiding the client, reminding them of value, and building trust.
All of these mistakes quietly drain revenue. Some clients disappear, some hesitate, and some never come back all because the business did not prioritize structured client communication.

And here’s the kicker: the companies that survive and thrive aren’t the ones with the best products. They are the ones with systems that handle clients, complaints, and leads efficiently, turning interactions into revenue opportunities.
I help businesses set up communication systems that retain clients, improve conversions, and increase revenue. From scripting responses to structuring follow-ups, every interaction is an opportunity to strengthen trust and drive results.

If you’re a business owner struggling with client retention, follow-ups, or lost leads, DM me. Let’s fix your systems so your customer conversations work for you not against you.

Interior Designers & Homeowners in Nigeria Let’s Talk About Artisans and Materials.

I recently saw a post on Instagram where a lady talked about a common issue many people face when working with artisans in Nigeria materials.
She mentioned something I completely agree with:
Always buy your materials yourself.
While working on interior projects with my boss, I’ve seen this play out many times.

Some artisans actually get uncomfortable when you say you will purchase the materials yourself. In some cases, they may even refuse the job.
Why?
Because sometimes the price of materials gets inflated.
Imagine getting to the market and realizing there is a ₦500,000 difference on wood alone. That is a huge amount that could have been avoided.

My simple perspective is this:
As an artisan, charge for your workmanship.
Tell me the cost of your labor and your expertise I will happily pay you for that.
But the materials?
That should be the client’s responsibility.
Another important lesson I’ve learned from my boss:
“Work that is not supervised will be controlled.”
Supervision is everything.
You don’t have to be on site every day, but you must inspect the work regularly to ensure the project is going in the right direction.
So I’m curious:
Have you ever had an artisan insist on buying the materials themselves?
How did you handle it?
I’d really love to hear your experience.

Tomorrow is Monday… and I already find myself thinking about how the day will go.
The school run.
Getting the kids ready.
Making sure everything is in place before we step out of the house.
Sometimes I wonder how the week comes around so fast. One moment it’s the weekend, the next moment the alarm is ringing again and another busy week has begun.
Most mornings, I snooze the alarm once… maybe twice.
Then the real hustle begins.
Running around the house.
Getting the kids dressed for school.
Making sure the family is okay.
Attending to work.
Planning visits to sites.
Handling responsibilities that seem to never end.
And sometimes I pause and ask myself…
How do women manage to do all of this?
We carry so many roles at once.
Mother.
Wife.
Professional.
Caregiver.
Support system for everyone around us.
It’s not always easy. It’s not always perfect. But somehow, women keep showing up every single day.
Maybe we don’t wear capes like superheroes, but the strength women carry every day is something truly powerful.
Today, as we celebrate International Women’s Day, I want to appreciate every woman out there doing her best — whether the world sees it or not.
And to everyone who respects, supports, and uplifts women… we appreciate you too.
As women, we see each other’s struggles and strengths. And I believe we can continue to do better by supporting, encouraging, and lifting one another.
Happy International Women’s Day to every amazing Women.
