The Village Girl Who Wanted a Rich Husband
There was once a beautiful village girl named Adesuwa who had only one prayer:
“God, please give me a rich husband. I am tired of suffering.” 😂
Every morning, she would sit outside her mother's shop, watching men pass by.
One day, a handsome young man arrived in the village wearing designer clothes, expensive sunglasses, and shiny shoes.
Adesuwa nearly fell from her chair.
She whispered to her friend, “Sister, look at that man. That's my future husband.” 😭
Her friend laughed. “You don't even know his name!”
Adesuwa adjusted her dress.
“I don't need his name. I know his destiny.” 😂
She quickly walked toward him.
“Good afternoon, handsome.”
The man smiled. “Good afternoon.”
“My name is Adesuwa. I'm the most beautiful girl in this village.”
The man laughed.
“I can see that.”
Adesuwa smiled proudly.
“So… what do you do?”
The man replied, “I sell things.”
Her eyes became bigger.
“Things like cars?”
“No.”
“Houses?”
“No.”
“Gold?”
“No.”
Adesuwa became slightly disappointed.
“So what exactly do you sell?”
The man pointed toward the huge basket beside him.
“Roasted corn and groundnuts.”
Adesuwa's mouth dropped open. 😭😭
She immediately walked away.
But the man shouted, “Wait! You said you wanted a rich husband!”
Adesuwa turned around.
“Yes!”
He smiled.
“My father owns half the farms in this village.”
Adesuwa froze.
“Wait… you mean you're the farmer's son?”
“Yes.”
She immediately returned.
“My dear future husband, please let's start this conversation again.” 😂😂
They both laughed.
But Adesuwa didn't know one thing…
The handsome man had come to the village looking for a wife, and he had already noticed her before she ever approached him.
Three months later, they got married.
And during their wedding, Adesuwa whispered to him:
“Baby, remember the first day I saw you?”
He laughed.
“You mean the day you rejected me because I was selling corn?”
She covered her face.
“Please forget that part.” 😭😂
And from that day forward, whenever anyone asked Adesuwa how she met her husband, she simply smiled and said:
“God answered my prayer… but He packaged the answer inside a corn seller.” ❤️😂
