Waiting is one of the hardest things God ever asks of a believer. It is easy to trust God when the answer comes quickly. But what happens when you have prayed, fasted, believe, and heaven still seems silent? What happens when the promise is real but the fulfilment has not come? That is where faith is truly tested. And that is exactly where today's lessons meet us.
Hannah waited and prayed anyway.

Year after year, Hannah endured barrenness, humiliation, and heartache. She could have grown bitter. She could have walked away. Instead, she walked to the place of prayer. She poured her deepest pain before God. Not with performance, but with raw, sincere dependence. Her tears became her prayers. Her sorrow became her worship. And God remembered Hannah.

Not only did He give her a son. He gave the world a prophet. Samuel was not just Hannah's comfort. He was God's instrument prepared for the destiny of an entire nation. While Hannah was waiting for her promise, God was already preparing His purpose.

๐ŸŽต CCC Hymn 431 reminds us of this beautifully, that prayer opened Hannah's womb. Persistent prayer is never wasted. God hears the cries of His children, even when the answer does not come immediately. Like Elijah, who prayed until heaven withheld rain and prayed again until the earth was fruitful. Faith does not stop praying simply because answers are delayed.

In Luke 2, we meet two remarkable souls. Simeon had received God's promise that he would see the Messiah before he died. Anna had devoted herself to fasting, prayer, and worship in the temple for decades. Neither allowed the passing years to weaken what God had spoken to them. Then one ordinary day, Mary and Joseph walked through the temple doors carrying an infant, and everything that had been waited for arrived in a single divine moment. God's calendar is always perfect, even when it looks nothing like ours.

When Simeon finally held Jesus, he did not keep the joy to himself. He praised God openly. Anna immediately began proclaiming the arrival of the Redeemer to everyone around her. Every genuine encounter with God's fulfilment produces thanksgiving, and every testimony of God's faithfulness becomes fuel for someone else's faith.

๐ŸŽต CCC Hymn 682 captures this beautifully, calling believers to respond obediently when Christ calls, to remain committed through every trial, and to share testimonies joyfully because Jesus answers prayer. Every fulfilled promise should inspire worship and encourage others to keep trusting God.

Beloved, perhaps today you are the one waiting. Waiting for healing. For a child. For restoration. For a breakthrough that seems long overdue. God has not forgotten you. The same God who remembered Hannah, fulfilled His word to Simeon, and honoured Anna's decades of devotion, is still the same God today. His silence is not abandonment. His delay is not denial.

Joseph passed through betrayal and prison before the palace. David was anointed long before he wore the crown. Hannah wept before she rejoiced. In every case, God's preparation was just as important as God's provision, because while He was preparing the blessing, He was also preparing the one who would receive it.

Do not lose hope before your hour of divine visitation. "They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength" - Isaiah 40:31

๐Ÿ™ LET US PRAY
Jehovah! Jesus Christ!! Holy Michael!!!
Gracious God and our everlasting Father, teach us to trust You when the journey is long. Strengthen us when our hearts grow weary. Keep us faithful while we wait. May our prayers never cease, our worship never grow cold, and our hope never fail. At Your appointed time, remember every waiting soul, turn every burden into a testimony, and let our lives bring glory to Your name. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. ๐Ÿ™

Topic: STAND FIRM. GOD IS WATCHING
Texts: ๐Ÿ“– 2 Samuel 6:19โ€“23 | Mark 6:14โ€“29

There is a price tag on genuine conviction. Not everyone will celebrate your faith. Not everyone will understand your worship. And not everyone will applaud your courage to speak the truth. But the question God asks of every believer is not whether others approve, it is whether you will stand firm when they do not.

Today's lessons give us two men who did exactly that. David worshipped without apology.
After bringing the Ark of God into Jerusalem, David danced before the Lord with everything he had, leaping, celebrating, completely abandoned in worship. But when he returned home, his wife Michal was waiting, not with joy but with scorn. She mocked him, accused him of embarrassing himself before the servants. David's response was firm and unwavering: "It was before the LORD" (2 Samuel 6:21). He was not dancing for the crowd. He was not performing for Michal. His worship belonged to God alone, and no ridicule was going to take that from him. What Michal called undignified, God called devotion.

๐ŸŽต This is the spirit CCC Hymn 289 calls every believer into, "Worship ye steadfastly, it is this worship that will save us." David understood this. His worship was not about what others thought. It was about what God deserved. And Hymn 289 also reminds us, "Let the world bow down, it is the crown Jesus provided, that we might wear the crown." David kept his crown by refusing to bow to the opinion of men.

John the Baptist stood without compromise.
When John told King Herod plainly that his marriage to his brother's wife was unlawful, he knew it would cost him. Herodias hated him for it. She plotted against him. And through cunning and deceit, John was beheaded. But John never took back what he said. He did not soften the truth to save his neck. He finished his course with his conviction intact. Exactly as Paul would later declare: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7).

John lost his head. But he never lost his stand.
Brethren, this is not a new battle. Joseph was hated because of the purpose God placed on his life. Daniel was thrown into a lions' den because he refused to stop praying. The apostles were ordered to stop preaching in Jesus' name, and they answered simply: "We ought to obey God rather than men" (Acts 5:29).

Even our own father in faith, Rev. Pastor Founder Prophet S.B.J. Oshoffa, faced doubt and opposition from fellow Christians because of the extraordinary miracles God worked through him. The voice of opposition is often louder than the voice of truth. But truth never loses its power, because truth comes from God. Do not abandon your convictions simply to gain acceptance. Do not lower God's standard because someone mocks your holiness or questions your faithfulness. The world may call you different, too strict, or old fashioned. But it is better to be accepted by God than applauded by men (Galatians 1:10).

"The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe" - Proverbs 29:25.

A conviction that melts under pressure was never truly rooted in Christ. Hold firmly to God's Word, for "the grass withereth... but the word of our God shall stand for ever" (Isaiah 40:8).

๐Ÿ™ Let us pray:
Jehovah, Jesus Christ, Holy Michael. Gracious Father, we know that our conviction in You is real. As we proclaim Your truth, grant Your Word power to pierce hearts and transform lives. Put every voice of darkness and opposition to shame and let Your truth prevail. Strengthen us never to compromise, but to stand faithfully for You until the very end. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen. ๐Ÿ™

This Sunday, the Celestial Church of Christ gives thanks to God as we close the celebration of the Feast of Holy Mary's Day. And as we do, today's Bible lessons bring before us two women whose stories stand at opposite ends of the same question. A question God is still asking every believer today: When God speaks to you, what do you do with His Word?

Eve lived in the garden of God. She knew God's command. Eve knew it well enough to repeat it word for word when the serpent came to her. But knowledge, as it turned out, was not the same as faith. The serpent did not come with a sword. He came with a question. "Has God really said?" That subtle whisper, designed to make God's Word seem uncertain, outdated, or overly strict, was all it took. Eve weighed what God had said against what she could see, what she could desire, and what a stranger was now promising. And she chose the stranger's word over her the spiritual instruction of her Creator

The result was not just a mistake. It was a fall, shame, fear, and separation from the God who had given her everything. Sin entered the world not because Eve was ignorant but because her knowledge was never truly backed by faith and obedience. Knowledge without faith cannot protect you.

CCC Hymn 876 speaks directly to this moment: "It is me, don't be afraid. I am the King, the King of providence. I shall always provide your needs for you." Eve heard another voice and believed it. God is calling us today to hear His voice alone and trust it completely.

Mary, on the other hand, believed. When the angel Gabriel came to her with news that defied every natural explanation, that she, a virgin, would conceive and carry the Son of God. Mary did not demand an explanation. She simply said: "Be it unto me according to thy word." And through that one act of faith, the Saviour of the world entered creation.

When Mary visited Elizabeth, her cousin Elizabeth declared, "Blessed is she that believed" (Luke 1:45). And Mary herself broke into the song, "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour."

This is the spirit our CCC Hymn 772 reminds us: "The most costly blood of Jesus Christ, which has brought redemption to the world, for those that believe and are repentant, will be saved in Celestial Church." Mary believed before she saw. That is the faith God is still looking for today.

Brethren, Eve, and Mary were both chosen women. Both received a word. But only one believed it fully enough to obey it without compromise.

The question is: what do we do when His Word arrives? Do we weigh it against what we can see, like Eve? Or do we receive it with a surrendered heart, like Mary? Which one are you?

"Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only" _James 1:22

As we give thanks this Sunday for the legacy and example of Holy Mary, let us not simply admire her from a distance. Let us become what she was, a willing, believing, obedient vessel in the hands of a God who never fails.

Sit by a keyboard sometime and try something. Play only the white keys. Then play only the black ones. You will get a sound but you will not get music. It's not the kind that moves people. Not the kind that stays with you long after the song is over. It is the combination of both the white and the black, pressed together in the right measure that produces something truly melodious. I have come to believe that life works exactly the same way.

The white keys represent the good times. The bright seasons, when things are working, doors are opening, health is strong, and the future feels certain. We love these keys. We wish we could play them forever. The black keys represent the hard times. The dark seasons: loss, failure, delay, disappointment, confusion. We avoid these keys. We pray against them. Some of us, when we encounter them, conclude that the music is over.

But here is what the keyboard teaches me. A life played only on white keys is incomplete. And a life defined only by black keys has not yet discovered what those difficult notes were preparing it for.

The great philosopher Aristotle spoke of "eudaimonia," translated as the "good life." But he was careful to say that the good life is not a life without struggle. It is a life of virtue in action. A life that has learned to respond well to every condition it meets, pleasant or painful. In other words, the good life is not the absence of black keys. It is the wisdom to know how to play them.

I say this not as a theory. I say it as someone who has tasted both sides. I have known seasons of light, and I have known seasons where the darkness felt permanent. And what I have learned, sitting with both, is this. The darkness of yesterday is not a verdict on today. Morning does not ask for your permission. It simply comes.

So here is what years of living have taught me, briefly, plainly, and from the heart. Be good. It's not strategically good, but genuinely good. Be humble. The ground that feels beneath you today may be the very ground that holds you tomorrow. Be contented. The desperate chase after wealth at all costs is a road that costs far more than it gives. Love the people around you. The person you are tempted to step on or ignore today may be the very hand that lifts you tomorrow. Never seek another person's downfall. No one rises by pulling others down. Do not be lazy. Do the needful, and do it at the right time. Above all, learn to maximise your God. Every key on the keyboard was placed there by design. So was every season of your life.

As we step into a new week, I want to encourage someone who is currently sitting on the black keys, feeling the weight of a difficult season. You are not at the end of the song. You are in the middle of a composition still being written.

Stay in the music ๐ŸŽน ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Have a beautiful week ahead. Happy New Month ๐Ÿ˜Š

There is a question every believer must eventually answer, not with their lips, but with their lives: ๐–๐ก๐จ๐ฌ๐ž ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐จ๐ง?

It is easy to sing praises on Sunday. It is easy to confess loyalty to God when life is smooth and comfortable. But the real test of where our hearts belong comes when the pressure is on. When choosing God costs us something.

King Ahaz learned this the hard way. When enemies surrounded him, Ahaz did not do what David did. He did not do what Jehoshaphat did. He did not fall on his knees and seek the God of Israel. Instead, he reached into the treasuries of God's own house, stripped it of its silverv and gold, and sent it all to the king of Assyria, a foreign king, to buy protection. He traded the sacred for the convenient. He trusted a man he could see over the God who had never failed him.

Assyria came. But the cost was far greater than gold. Ahaz's story is not just ancient history. It is a mirror.

How many times have we quietly emptied what God entrusted to us, our gifts, our integrity, our calling, even the gospel itself, just to gain acceptance, approval, or a seat at someone else's table? How many times have we treated the grace of God as a tool for personal gain, or allowed the fear of disappointing people to become louder than the fear of displeasing God?

The Apostle Paul cuts straight to the heart of it in Ephesians 6. He warns believers not to serve with ๐ž๐ฒ๐ž๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐œ๐ž, that performance we put on when people are watching, but to serve sincerely, "๐š๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‚๐ก๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ, ๐๐จ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐†๐จ๐ ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ญ." God is never impressed by what we do for the applause of men. He weighs what we do when no one is looking.

Our CCC Hymn 276 carries a timeless admonition that speaks to this very moment, calling every soul to forsake wickedness, witchcraft, and idols, and place full trust in Christ who alone can save. Because anything we run to before we run to God has already become an idol, whether it wears the face of money, friendship, influence, or fear.

Beloved, not every association in your life is strengthening your faith. Some relationships are quietly pulling you away from God, slowly, gently, without announcement. (1 Corinthians 15:33). Not every voice deserves your loyalty. Not every door is opened by God. If any friendship or influence is making you more comfortable with compromise and less hungry for holiness, it is leading you away from your true Master.

We are also reminded by our own CCC hymn to work spiritually in the Celestial Church - not for recognition, not for titles, not for the admiration of men, but as faithful servants expecting joy on the very last day. That joy will not come from what people said about us. It will come from what God says: "๐–๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ž, ๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ ๐ ๐จ๐จ๐ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐Ÿ๐š๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐š๐ง๐ญ."

Jesus said it plainly: "๐๐จ ๐ฆ๐š๐ง ๐œ๐š๐ง ๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ž ๐ญ๐ฐ๐จ ๐ฆ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ" (Matthew 6:24). God will never settle for second place in any heart. Men may applaud you today and forget your name tomorrow. But Jesus Christ remains the same, yesterday, today, and forever.

Do not seek the praise of men while losing the smile of Heaven.

Have a blessed time in His presence ๐Ÿ™ Happy Sunday ๐Ÿค

Every Wednesday at 9:00 AM, across all Celestial Church of Christ parishes worldwide, the Seekers' Service holds. It is a sacred moment set apart for mercy, for everyone, member or not, who is trusting God over any situation in their life.

Fruit of the womb. Employment. Promotion. Breakthroughs long overdue. No request is too small. No wait has been too long.

Come with a heart of faith, three kinds of fresh fruits, a bottle of water, and a white candle. These are not just items. They are symbols of fruitfulness, illumination, and the living hope we carry into God's presence.

There was joy and thanksgiving on Sunday at C.C.C. Messiah Cathedral, Povita, Badagry, as Assistant Most Superior Evangelist Lawrence Denapo Pafenoh, MPIC, was officially invested into the rank of Assistant Most Superior Evangelist (AMSE) of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.

The colourful ceremony drew worshippers, church leaders, family and well wishers from across Badagry and beyond, all gathered to celebrate a remarkable spiritual milestone.

Officiating the investiture was his former Shepherd and spiritual mentor, Assistant Most Superior Evangelist Jacob Solomon Kuti, MPIC. In his sermon, AMSE J. S. Kuti charged the newly elevated Shepherd to remain steadfast and uncompromising in his calling, drawing from the story of Samuel and the sons of Eli to remind every spiritual leader that righteousness must never be compromised. He described AMSE L. D. Pafenoh's elevation as the fruit of decades of obedience, dedication and loyalty, likening his journey to that of young Samuel, who found favour with both God and man.

A native of Topo, Badagry, AMSE L. D. Pafenoh began his journey in the Celestial Church of Christ in 1976. He became Shepherd in Charge of C.C.C. Topo Idale Parish in 1997 and later pioneered C.C.C. Messiah Cathedral, Povita, where he now serves as Shepherd-in-Charge, Superintendent of Area 'A' in Badagry Region, and Patron of the Badagry Youth Organisation.

The celebration was enriched by performances from gospel artistes including Sola Vi****or, Dele Taiwo, Spark De Great, Omo Egun and others, who led guests in songs of praise and worship.

As he begins this new chapter, Celestial Eye Magazine joins the Badagry Youth Organisation and the wider church family in wishing AMSE Lawrence Denapo Pafenoh, MPIC greater grace, wisdom and divine success in the service of God and humanity.
