🔥 FROM RENEWAL TO MATURITY - THE BADAGRY YOUTH ORGANISATION IS ON THE MOVE!

The Badagry Youth Organisation kicked off 2026 in powerful spirit, hosting its first vigil of the year on Friday, 20th February 2026, at C.C.C. Rev. Pastor P. H. Ajose Memorial Cathedral, Sowhe, Badagry. Themed "Renewed Minds, Transformed Lives" (Romans 12:2).

The night was filled with Word Ministration, Prayer and Revival, a Health Talk, Panel Discussion, Spoken Word, and more. All pointing youths toward a higher standard of faith and character.

A standout moment came through the Word Ministration by Evangelist Sam Oluseyi Ogunbona, which stirred deep conviction across the auditorium. The atmosphere moved the Youth Patron, Venerable Superior Evangelist Lawrence Denapo Pafenoh, MPIC, to make a generous donation of ₦100,000 toward building a sustainable platform for youth development. A true statement of belief in the next generation!

The keynote address by Senior Evangelist Louis Gabriel Whenayon, Editor-in-Chief of Celestial Eye Magazine, challenged youths to go beyond enthusiasm, embracing discipline, structured accountability, and Christlike character (1 Timothy 4:12). CELESTIAL CHURCH OF CHRIST ENDORSES DR. SAMUEL MAUYON AJOSE FOR LAGOS 2027 GOVERNORSHIP

Celestial Church of Christ leadership declares support, urge members nationwide to obtain PVCs and back SMA Gold

The Celestial Church of Christ has officially declared its interest in the 2027 Lagos State governorship race, endorsing Dr. Samuel Mauyon Ajose (SMA Gold) as its preferred candidate during a well-attended press conference held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the church’s National Headquarters in Makoko, Yaba, Lagos.

The endorsement, described as both spiritual and strategic, was conveyed in an address by Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa, Pastor and Spiritual Head of Celestial Church of Christ worldwide. The address was delivered on his behalf by the Head of Media, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala, MPIC.

In the statement, the revered church leader affirmed his longstanding knowledge of Dr. Samuel Mauyon Ajose, highlighting his heritage and spiritual lineage as the first son of the late Most Superior Evangelist Abraham Ajose, JP, a respected figure and international representative of the church during his lifetime.

“Dr. Samuel Mauyon Ajose is well known to me,” the statement read, emphasizing his commitment to faith, leadership, and service. His unwavering loyalty toPresident Bola Ahmed Tinubu and alignment with the ideals of the All Progressives Congress were also underscored as key attributes that position him for leadership.

The church further noted that Dr. Ajose combines strong grassroots appeal with boardroom influence, extending his impact beyond his Badagry roots into broader political and socio-economic spaces.

In a significant move, the Pastor announced plans to formally communicate with regional and international church leadership, encouraging members to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and collectively support Dr. Samuel Mauyon Ajose in the 2027 Lagos gubernatorial election.

Responding to questions from members of the press, Dr. Samuel Ajose expressed confidence in his emergence, framing his ambition within a divine and strategic context.

According to him, Badagry has not been sidelined in Lagos politics but preserved for a defining moment. He described himself as “an unusual person,” whose emergence and eventual leadership would unfold in extraordinary ways, guided by divine purpose.

He further highlighted the contributions of his foundation in supporting the APC and the broader political vision associated with the current administration, assuring that more impactful initiatives would follow upon securing the party’s ticket.

Dr. Ajose also pledged to promote religious harmony across Lagos State, emphasizing peaceful coexistence among Christians, Muslims, and traditional worshippers.

Reinforcing its stance, the church pledged continued spiritual support through prayers, while also committing to mobilize its members nationwide to actively participate in the electoral process by voting for the APC and its endorsed candidate.

The conference drew prominent figures within the church, including Most Superior Evangelist Olusegun Olarinde, JP, International Pastor's Representative, Assistant Most Superior Evangelist J. Kuti, Assistant Most Superior Evangelist Afis Kiki, Shepherd-in-Charge, National Headquarters, Makoko, Assistant Most Superior Evangelist Olusiji Olajide, Secretary General, C. C. C. Clergy worldwide, Senior Evangelist Sunday Oluwafemi Sofowora, and Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist A. B. Demuren, as well as Superior Evangelist Solomon Oshoffa and several other clergy members. Also present was Louis Gabriel Whenayon, Editor-in-Chief of Celestial Eye Magazine, alongside a wide representation of church members, including men, women, and youths.

The press conference attracted major media presence, including the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Radio Nigeria (Bond FM), Television Continental (TVC), Lagos Television (LTV), Arise TV, and Silver Bird, as well as Celestial media platforms such as Celestial Reality Check and Celestial Focus News.

The atmosphere at the conference was vibrant and hopeful, with attendees expressing enthusiasm and optimism about the 2027 elections and the possibility of a new political chapter for Lagos State.

With spiritual backing, structured mobilization, and growing political alignment, the endorsement of Dr. Samuel Mauyon Ajose signals a noteworthy development in the build-up to the 2027 governorship race.

REPORT ON THE C.C.C. MESSIAH CATHEDRAL CHOIR ANNIVERSARY CANTATA

The Choir Anniversary Cantata of C.C.C. Messiah Cathedral, Povita, held on Easter Sunday, marked a historic milestone in the life of the parish. This special musical event was the first of its kind since the establishment of the church over a decade ago, making it both symbolic and memorable.

The Cantata attracted a remarkable gathering of worshippers, music lovers, and notable music icons within the Celestial fold, including Most Senior Evangelist Samson Adekambi (Sammy P), Honorary Senior Evangelist Abiodun Olalekan (Abijah), and Superior Senior Woleader Comlan Jonah Avitin, whose presence added prestige and spiritual depth to the occasion.

From the very beginning, the atmosphere was electrifying and spiritually uplifting. The choir delivered a spectacular and inspiring performance, with well coordinated hymns and soul lifting musical renditions that resonated deeply with the congregation. The auditorium was filled with joy, celebration, and heartfelt worship, as attendees danced and lifted their voices in praise to God.

The event was further enhanced by elegant decorations and a vibrant media presence. The coverage by the media crew of Celestial Eye Magazine added a touch of glamour, capturing memorable moments and showcasing the uniqueness of the Cantata.

One of the highlights of the event was the launching of a brand new musical instrument aimed at supporting the choir. This initiative was met with overwhelming generosity, resulting in a “rain of Naira” as members and guests contributed financially to the growth and sustainability of the choir.

The celebration also featured a Thanksgiving session, during which attendees expressed gratitude to God. The event was complemented with ample hospitality, as guests were well catered for with food and refreshments, creating a warm and joyful fellowship.

The sermon of the day was delivered by Assistant Most Superior Evangelist Ado Leon, JP, who commended the choir for their dedication and selfless service in advancing the work of God, despite not receiving financial compensation. He encouraged them to remain steadfast, emphasizing the importance of their ministry in uplifting souls, comforting the weary, and winning lives into the Kingdom of Christ.

In conclusion, the Choir Anniversary Cantata was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended. It not only celebrated the choir’s journey but also reinforced the power of music as a vital tool for worship and evangelism in the Celestial Church of Christ.
