Witness to the Light by Bunmi Onilude
"He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light."
John 1:8

John the Baptist didn’t perform miracles or raise the dead. But he fulfilled his calling: to point people to Jesus.

In a world chasing spotlight, he reminds us—faithfulness is greater than fame.

As a missionary wife, I’ve seen the beauty of serving in the shadows. My husband leads teams to reach unreached villages across Africa. We’ve worked among the forgotten—and we’re going again August 18–24 for our annual outreach.

You can be part of it.
If you can’t go, you can send us—with your prayers and support.

📌 Let this be your heart check:

Am I clear on my God-given assignment?

Am I striving for more than what He allotted?

Can I be content just pointing to Jesus?

Lord, help us to witness well.
No spotlight needed—just obedience.

MANDATENEWS DEVOTIONAL
Title: Beholding His Face — Our Truest Satisfaction

Scripture Focus: Psalm 17:15 (AMP)
As for me, I will continue beholding Your face in righteousness (rightness, justice, and right standing with You); I shall be fully satisfied, when I awake to find myself beholding Your form and having sweet communion with You.

There comes a moment in every true walk with God when the noise fades, the striving loses appeal, and the soul whispers: What really matters?

David’s answer is timeless: “As for me, I will continue beholding Your face…”

Not pursuing titles.
Not building platforms.
Not even chasing results.
Just beholding Him.

In this generation, many are doing for God without dwelling with God. But there’s a deeper call—to pause, to gaze, to commune. Not in a rush. Not in religious duty. But in righteousness, right standing, and deep intimacy.

This is the secret place of satisfaction.
The day we realize we can do nothing without Him is the day we finally rest.
Not because the work ends, but because we stop carrying it alone.

The world is hungry for more than sermons and structures—it’s hungry for God’s Presence. And it’s through those who behold Him that His fragrance flows.

So today, choose the better part.
Behold His face.
Abide.
Carry Him.
And let your satisfaction flow not from the seen, but from the sweet unseen communion with the One who called you.

REFLECTION:
Are you beholding or just building?
Have you made room for His gaze today?

PRAYER:
Lord, draw me back to the place of beholding. Let me not run ahead of Your Presence. Satisfy me once again—not with outcomes, but with communion. Amen.

MANDATE ALERT:
From August 18–24, we are stepping out again for our Mission Outreach—bringing the presence of God to underserved communities. Your prayers and support help us carry the fragrance of His face into forgotten places. Partner with us to make His love known.

Nigeria’s Janet Ekundayo, whose name means “tears turned to joy,” dedicated her life to caring for orphans and abandoned children.

Despite having five biological children, her love for children led her to adopt and care for over 500 kids at the Ekundayo Orphanage Home in Isanlu Makutu, Kogi State, a mission she started in 1969.

Her selfless devotion earned her the nickname Olomo Yeye (someone with many children), making her one of the most influential women from Kogi.

For over 50 years, she transformed the lives of countless children, turning their sorrow into happiness.

In 2009, she passed away, believed to be in her 80s or 90s. Many only learned about her inspiring story when Nigerian singer TY Bello honored her with a tribute video and the song Ekundayo in 2008, as part of her Greenland album.

Mama Ekundayo remains a symbol of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication.

Aimee Semple McPherson was once holding a tent meeting, and while she was ministering, the Lord dropped in her spirit the words, “I want to do a creative miracle.”
Without hesitation, she declared, “God wants to do a creative miracle! If you are in need, come down here to the front!” She gave the call for about ten minutes, however nobody responded so she went right on preaching.
The Lord prompted her again, so she gave the call again for about another ten minutes. Finally a woman in a chair with a blanket over her lap came up to the front. She stated, “I know you said God wanted to do a creative miracle, but I didn’t know if you meant this creative.” Just then she pulled back the blanket to reveal she had a baby that had no arms, no legs, and a deformed face.

Sister Aimee then prayed a simple prayer for the child then she said, “let’s all lift up our hands and worship God!” For thirty minutes they did nothing but worship God and then something amazing happened! All four of the baby’s limbs grew out of its little torso and the face was completely restored back to normal!

What a wonderful savior and healer we serve.

JUST IN.. ✍️

President Donald Trump breaks the divorce law that has been tormenting men in the US.

Donald Trump just became the 47th president of the United States and he finally wants to look into the divorce law that has been tormenting men in America

“Just because you get married to a rich man doesn't mean you have to get half of his wealth and end up rich after divorce.

Divorce has become a very lucrative business for women in the United States and I'm gonna put an end t it. If a woman marries a rich man, it doesn't mean she gets to leave as a rich woman after divorce.
If upon divorce the woman needs money, the man can borrow her a maximum of $1-million if she has a colleteral. $1-million isn't alot of money for the rich man but it should be a lot about for the woman because she didn't work for it.

If I'm worth $50-million, I'm not gonna give you $25-million after divorce. It's my money and I worked very hard for it. I don't care if we've been married for 6 years or even 25 years or even have children. If you don't have enough money to take care of our children, leave them with me. I think that just because somebody marries somebody that built something huge, doesn't necessarily mean that just because they get a divorce, that they should end up like the Queen of Sheba”. __Donald Trump.

You just have to respect this man, Welcome back Donald. The world already missed your presence.

REVD DR UMA UKPAI ON HOW GOD HEALED HIS SON BORN CRIPPLE AFTER A NURSE INSULTED HIM

My first son was born cripple. Everyone mocked me, and I laughed. Why? They did not know every problem has a time limit.

The day my wife gave birth to our second child, her nurse asked me, “That your son, is he still cripple?” I said, “Yes, Madam”. And she said, “You are the biggest idiot in Nigeria. If God heals, why can’t He start from your house?”

I said, “Madam, having turned your mouth into a basket mouth, he will start now.” “Father what do I do?” God said, “Move from song to song; raise a song unto me. I will take over your struggle from you.”

As I was singing, the boy fell under the anointing and slept off, woke up and said to me, “Daddy, angels were here. They have strengthened my bones and my legs. I can now walk, dance, and run. And I said, “Please, demonstrate for me”.

I went to the hospital and told the nurse and my wife that the cripple boy was walking. My wife said, "Remember you are a Reverend with Assemblies of God Church and you are not supposed to lie."

When I insisted, she said that if she got home and it was true, she would give me a goat. We got home and the boy ran to meet her. My wife fainted. I said to her, "Madam, you didn't promised me fainting; you promised me a goat. Please stand up and give me my goat." She thought I was joking.

'Promise and fail' is a sin and I don't want her to go to hell. I drove my car to her father's house. I narrated everything to her father and protested that her father must produce the goat on her behalf. My father in-law looked at me and said, "Uma, you are too troublesome." I said, "No Sir. Can I have the goat?" He went to his animal house and a brought me the biggest goat there.

I don't know the situation around your life that has attracted mockery. From today, God shall turn your mockery into miracle, your shame onto fame and your disgrace into unusual grace!
