The Big Belly Festival of Ethiopia ๐ช๐น
In Ethiopiaโs Omo Valley, the Bodi tribe celebrates the Kaโel Festival.. A New Year tradition where a big belly means beauty, wealth, and honour.
Unmarried men spend months (like 6months or so) drinking cowโs milk and blood to gain weight. On festival day, they dance with bodies painted in ash and clay while the community cheers.
The man with the most impressive body becomes the champion, bringing pride to his family.
For the Bodi people, a big belly is more than size, itโs a symbol of tradition, culture, and belonging. ๐๐บ
I ask you now... HOW BIG IS YOUR BELLE? ๐ค
