The Secretary to Olorunda Local Council Development Area, Hon. Wahab Ashade, earlier today represented the Executive Chairman, Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon, at a special prayer session organised by the Badagry Division of the Council of Chief Imams and Ulamas in collaboration with the Lagos State Council of Chief Imams.
The prayer session was held for the peace, progress and prosperity of Nigeria, as well as for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the success of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Prayers were also offered for the Lagos State APC governorship candidate, Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat, and other APC candidates across the Badagry Division.
The gathering brought together Islamic scholars, community leaders and political stakeholders who joined in prayers for good governance, peace and continued development in Nigeria and Lagos State.
Representing the Olorunda LCDA chairman, Ashade conveyed the council's support for the initiative and reaffirmed the administration's commitment to peaceful coexistence, unity and grassroots development.
