Bauchi Gov’s Aide Urges Muslims to Seek Allah’s Forgiveness as Islamic New Year 1448 AH Begins

As Muslims mark the new Islamic year 1448 AH, they have been urged to renew their hope and seek Allah’s forgiveness.

The Senior Special Adviser to the Bauchi State Governor on Religious Affairs, Alarama Aminu Zirami, who made the call in an interview with our correspondent in Bauchi, stressed the need for Muslims to draw closer to Allah in order to earn His bounties.

Alarama Aminu Zirami prayed to Allah to intervene in the numerous challenges facing society, particularly the issue of insecurity.

He called on herders and farmers to sheathe their swords in the interest of peace and harmony, and prayed for bumper rainfall.

The SSA said his office will organize a special prayer tomorrow to mark the new Islamic year.

Bauchi Pilgrims’ Board Urged to Appoint LGA Scholars as Hajj Guides for 2027

The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has been urged to appoint Islamic scholars from all 20 local government areas as Hajj guides and preachers for future Hajj exercises.

A pilgrim from Tafawa Balewa LGA, Sheikh Faizu Ado Musa Tafawa Balewa, made the call shortly after arriving from the just-concluded 2026 Hajj exercise.

Sheikh Faizu, who is also an Islamic scholar, said there are many talented preachers at the grassroots who are willing to contribute their knowledge towards the development of Islam and proper guidance of pilgrims.

Earlier, the Information Officer of the Board, Muhammad Nasiru Bala, who was also among the returnees, prayed to Allah to accept the Hajj rites of all pilgrims.

Also speaking, the Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Malam Abdulrahman Ibrahim Idris, said the Board has commenced the collection of deposits for the 2027 Hajj fare in order to meet the deadline set by NAHCON.

Radio Nigeria correspondent Aminu Gambo Adamu reports that most of pilgrims interviewed gratitude to Allah for giving them the wisdom to perform this years Hajj and expressed willingness to visit Ka'aba in 2027 Hajj exercise.

Bauchi’s Final Hajj Flight Lands with 469 Pilgrim

Bauchi – The fifth and final flight conveying Bauchi pilgrims from the 2026 Hajj has landed, with 469 passengers on board the Umza Air flight.

Of the 469 returnees, 250 are from Bauchi State and 219 from Sokoto State.

On board were the Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Malam Abdulrahman Ibrahim Idris, and several traditional rulers including the Emirs of Dass, Gamawa, Misau, and Lere.

The aircraft touched down at about 5:18 pm on Monday.

Speaking after arrival, the 2026 Amirul Hajj and Emir of Misau, Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman, expressed gratitude to Allah for the opportunity to perform this year’s Hajj and for a safe return.

Also speaking, Malam Abdulrahman Ibrahim Idris thanked Allah for the safe return of all pilgrims. He noted that the introduction of the NUSUK card made Hajj activities easier for Nigerian pilgrims.

According to our religious correspondent, Aminu Gambo Adamu, the arrival of the fifth flight marks the climax of the airlift for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

JBWIS Urges Support for Qur’anic Recitation Competitions to Inspire Youth in Bauchi.

The Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ulama, Jama’atu Izalatu Bidiah Waikamatus Sunnah (JBWIS), Bauchi LGA, Malam Abdulmumin Abdulkadir, has called on governments at all levels and wealthy Muslims to support Qur’anic recitation competitions aimed at encouraging young people to recite the Glorious Qur’an.

He made the call at the closing ceremony of a Qur’anic recitation competition organized by the Danjuma Goje/Zango Branch of JBWIS, held at Federal Low Cost, Bauchi.

Abdulkadir said regular engagement with the Qur’an helps keep Muslims away from vices and strengthens moral conduct.

Also speaking, the Deputy Coordinator of JBWIS Bauchi LGA, Kabiru Tilde, and the Danjuma Goje/Zango, Federal Low Cost Branch Coordinator, Abubakar Ahmed Adam, said such competitions boost memorization of the Qur’an among the youth. They urged parents and well-meaning Muslims to back similar initiatives to secure the future of the younger generation.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Council of Ulama, JBWIS Danjuma Goje/Zango, Federal Low Cost Branch, Yakubu Adamu, said the competition was designed to make children focus more on Qur’anic recitation.

A total of 93 pupils competed across 6 categories. Winners will go on to represent the branch at the local government level.

Bauchi Islamic Scholar Calls for Collective Action to Guide Youth.

The Chief Imam of Kofar Dumi Juma’at Mosque, Imam Rabiu Shehu, has urged parents, communities, and schools to work together in properly orienting the youth so they can become responsible members of society.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony of _Madarasatu Asasid Dinil Islam_ in Kofar Dumi, Imam Rabiu said Islamic schools play a vital role in complementing the state government’s efforts. He stressed that hands must be on deck to ensure the youth receive the right moral and social orientation.

Also at the event, the State Chairman of Jama’atu Izalatu Bidiah Waikamatus Sunnah, Prof. Zubairu Abubakar Madaki, represented by Abubakar Abu Bassam, advised parents to enroll their children in Islamic education to secure their future and mould them into useful citizens.

Earlier, the Headmaster of the Islamiyya, Abdullahi Tijjani, said the school was established to instill Islamic values in young people and equip them with vocational skills for self-reliance after graduation.

According to him, 18 graduating students were taught various Islamic texts and trained in skills such as pomade making, local lamp production, and knitting.

PILGRIMS :four hundred and seventy five pilgrims in the fourth flight arrives Bauchi.

The returning flight of the Bauchi State Pilgrims from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is about to be completed as scheduled as four hundred and seventy five pilgrims in the fourth flight from have arrived Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport at exactly ten thirty five PM via Aquiline International Airways.

Radio Nigeria Globe FM observed that with the current development, the returning flights have almost come to an end as only single flight remain to complete the returning process of the state pilgrims.

Our correspondent, Aminu Gambo Adamu reports that the most of the pilgrims were looking in a good mood.

Some of the pilgrims interviewed Adamu Usman Leko, Alkhamis Ibrahim and Abubakar Adamu Turanci thanked Allah for giving them the opportunity to perform Hajj exercise saying that the sacred journey has exposed them to real Islamic teaching of unity among diverse Muslims groups.

DEMOCRACY: NOA urges Nigerians to uphold the legacy of the country's founding fathers.

As Nigerians celebrate Democracy Day, the State Director National Orientation Agency NOA Alhaji Nasiru Mahe has called on Nigerians to uphold the the legacy and contributions of the country's founding fathers restore the country's dignity

Similarly, he urged Nigerians to continue to protecting and strengthening Democratic Institutions for the sustenance of democracy in the country.

Alhaji Nasiru Mahe who made the call in a message on the occasion to celebrate this years Democracy Day in Bauchi said to be patriotic Nigerians to be committed to the nations affairs.

According to the NOA state Director Democracy Day is not only a time to celebrate democratic governance and constitutional freedoms, but also an opportunity to reflect on the values of compassion, unity, inclusion and our collective responsibility to support one another during difficult times.

He said one of the greatest expressions of democracy is the ability of citizens to care for one another, noting that a society is judged not only by the strength of its institutions but also by how it treats its most vulnerable people.

He enjoined Nigerians to fully participate in civic responsibilities, especially as the country approaches the 2027 general elections.

According to him lack of patriotism is a major threat to the development of the country hence the need for Nigerians to be patriotic .

The NOA Director reaffirmed his commitment to instil value reorientation in the minds of people to strengthen advancing sustainable pathways from vulnerability to resilience and prosperity in line with President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.

Nasiru Mahe urged Nigerians to remember that democracy is strong when citizens care for one another, adding that nation-building is not only the responsibility of government but of every Nigerian.

Four hundred and eighty-five Muslim pilgrims from Bauchi State have safely returned home aboard the third inbound flight.

Four hundred and eighty-five Muslim pilgrims from Bauchi State have safely returned home aboard the third inbound flight, which arrived on Friday night.

Radio Nigeria's Religious Correspondent, Aminu Gambo Adamu, spoke with some of the pilgrims, who expressed gratitude to Allah for granting them the opportunity to perform this year's Hajj pilgrimage.

Among those interviewed were Muhammad Hassan from Dass, Hajiya Fatima from Giade and Rabi’atu Kunya from Bauchi Local Government Area, expressed satisfaction with the spiritual fulfilment they attained during the exercise.

Another pilgrim, Asabe Zubairu Bununu from Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area, said the pilgrimage provided valuable social and religious lessons.

The pilgrims noted that patience, fear of Allah and trustworthiness were among the virtues they learnt and strengthened during their stay in Mina.
