This is "The Door Of No Return", Cape Coast, Ghana πŸ‡¬πŸ‡

It was built by the Dutch as the last exit for the enslaved Africans; it was their last glimpse of Africa before being shipped overseas.

The name was changed from "DOOR OF NO RETURN" to "DOOR OF RETURN" to signify the return of the slave's descendants and to acknowledge the history of their ancestors.

Each year, Ghana πŸ‡¬πŸ‡ celebrates Emancipation Day which welcomes people from Africans in Diaspora back to their homeland.

History helps us to understand how events in the past made things the way they are today.

By Bashir "A group photograph was taken in 1958 in Harlem, USA. The same picture with the same people standing where they stood in 1958 was repeated in 1996. Most of the people had passed on. May we learn to appreciate and love one another. In 50 years' time , most of us would have passed on. And it is happening little by little, step by step every year. Think about this, and let's love, tolerate, and appreciate each other."
