Faith that brings peace is a blessing but hope that is sold should always be examined
.....They said a miracle was coming, just after the offering.🤷
THE BUSINESS OF MIRACLES
Once, miracles were simple stories people shared with quiet gratitude. There were no posters, no deadlines, and no pressure. People believed because something good happened, not because they were told it must.
This is not about rejecting faith.
It is about understanding it better.
When life becomes hard, hope becomes precious. And wherever hope is precious, some people try to sell it. They speak kindly, promise much, and ask for very little at first. But slowly, belief begins to feel like a transaction: give something today so that something good may come tomorrow.
An African proverb reminds us: “The one who carries the calabash decides how the water is shared.”
When one person controls the flow, others must be careful.
True miracles do not rush people. They do not scare them with warnings or blame them when nothing happens. They leave room for waiting, healing, and even unanswered prayers. They do not shame the sick or the poor for still struggling.
Yet today, many miracles are performed like shows. Good stories are repeated loudly. Silent pain is pushed aside quietly.
When things go wrong, people are told their faith was not strong enough, while those in charge are never questioned.
Another African proverb teaches us: “The path that promises gold must still be walked with open eyes.”
Hope should never ask us to stop thinking.
Faith was meant to give comfort, not pressure. It was meant to lift people, not make them feel guilty for their suffering. When belief starts to feel heavy, it is time to pause and ask gentle questions.
🤷This does not mean miracles are false.
👌It means wisdom is necessary.
The future of faith lies in honesty, care, and responsibility. In leaders who help without demanding payment. In believers who know that asking questions is not disrespect, it is protection.
Because faith that brings peace is a blessing.
💪But hope that is sold should always be examined.
👌👌Faith should heal hearts, not empty pockets.
