The only way to stop APC is either for Obi to step down for Atiku or Atiku steps down for Obi. I must admit that It is politically unreasonable to ask Atiku to step down for Obi because PDP is too strong politically with so many governors but as at today, Obi is only doing comedy skits. I will personally prefer for Atiku to step down for Obi but it can never happen in politics. PDP structures across Nigeria is in every PU; not even about the Govs they have. Politics is very deep but both Atiku & Obi should continue their dance of shame, APC will show them pepper.

2023: Why are APC & PDP people trying to force 4th position on Labour Party? They will come distant 3rd not 4th and those are natural PDP votes so I can understand why the PDP folks are more pained!

The two leaders, often political opponents, momentarily put politics aside to respond to the historic storm, which is shaping up to be one of Florida's deadliest and costliest in decades. https://abcn.ws/3rzT6Vj

The labor shortage continues to plague organizations across the country, and the US Army is not immune. On Friday, military officials confirmed that the Army came up 25% — or 15,000 soldiers — short of its recruitment goal for this year. And the other military branches are already behind heading into next year.

According to a 2020 Pentagon study first reported on by Military.com last Friday, 77% of 17 to 24 year-olds were ineligible for military service without a waiver, a six percent increase from the last study in 2017.

Among those with just one reason for not qualifying, "overweight," "drug and alcohol abuse," "medical/physical" health, and "mental health" were the most prevalent disqualifiers at 11%, 8%, 7%, and 4% respectively.

ASUU STRIKE: GBAJABIAMILA PRESENTS RECOMMENDATIONS TO BUHARI
..SPEAKER SAYS END TO ASUU STRIKE NEAR

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila, has met with President Muhammadu Buhari, as part of efforts to resolve the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

The speaker led a delegation of principal officers from the House to the A*o Rock Presidential Villa immediately after Tuesday's plenary.

Speaking with journalists after the meeting, the speaker highlighted the reason for their visit, saying, “After a series of engagements with ASUU and with people on the executive side, we’ve been able to come to some kind of decisions and recommendations to be made to Mr. President for his approval.

“As you know, what is on the front burner today, even beyond the politics, is that our universities, our lecturers, and our children are out of school.

"The House of Representatives decided to step in at that point four weeks ago and we’ve had a series of meetings that lasted hours and we’ve been able to get both sides to shift ground to an extent and that’s what we came to discuss with Mr. President about those recommendations.”

The Speaker also said he was hopeful that the crisis might soon be resolved as the delegation had a robust engagement with the President.

Speaker Gbajabiamila spoke more, “Mr. President, as usual, had a very good listening ear, he took the report of the House, accepted it. We discussed it at length, the details of the report and he wanted to go through them himself.

“We have another meeting on Thursday between our good selves and Mr. President for his final decision. We had a good engagement, with a very positive response.

"He asked us a couple of questions, in some grey areas which we clarified, and he accepted the reports and he wanted a couple of days to go through it.

"We are working and we are hopeful that this (strike) will soon be a thing of the past. I know once this
