We can see from this passage of scripture that God created the earth in the beginning but in the second verse, the earth was formless.
An empty vast and darkness was now upon the face of the deep.
How did I know that?
The Hebrew word translated in the second verse is the word hāyāh which means to become. This means something must have happened to God's creation for the earth to lose its sharp and form.
Life takes us through stages and sometimes it feels like we have no shape, form or direction.
We labour so much and there is hardly anything to show for it.
Our results are covered by darkness.
We lose our identity in the thickness of this darkness.
Sometimes temptations and trials come our way and we can't comprehend them.
Good news.
You are not alone.
Even the Almighty God went through a process that seems to us as a phase of retardation in Creation.
He was done with creation, yet something happened and he had to recreate it again. Genesis 1:3
I want to encourage you through the lens of the scriptures that there is nothing you're going through that is new to mankind.
And at the end of the day, God always makes a way of escape.
1 Corinthians 10:13
God is faithful, trust in Him and he will bring you to a landing place.
James in his letter, encourages Christians not to go weary when confronted by trials and temptation because they all work together for good.
James 1:2-4.

As you go through this unpleasant phase of life, always remember that God is with you.
The word of God assures us in the book of. Isaiah 43:2 That when we pass through awful situations, God is always there with us.
Trust in God, lean not on your own understanding and in all your ways acknowledge him.
Always remember, God is with you!
You're not alone!
