Hon. Abubakar Bichi visits Bichi pilgrims in Minna, donates $300 to each pilgrim

The member representing Bichi Federal Constituency and Chairman House Committee on Appropriation, Hon. Abubakar Kabir Bichi has donated $300 (equivalent of N420,000) to each of the 193 pilgrims from Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State.

Hon. Bichi made the donation during a visit to the pilgrims in Minna on Thursday. The pilgrims spent some time in Minna as part of the compulsory rites of Hajj.

With N420,000 donated to each of the 193 pilgrims, the total amount stands at N81,060,000.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Bichi described the gesture as part of his yearly tradition of supporting pilgrims from his constituency to enable them perform the Hajj exercise with ease.

He urged the pilgrims to conduct themselves responsibly and be good ambassadors of Bichi, Kano State and Nigeria throughout their stay in the Holy Land.

The lawmaker further called on the pilgrims to use the opportunity of the sacred journey to pray for peace, unity, progress and prosperity of Nigeria.

Rep. Abubakar Kabir Bichi, member representing Bichi Federal Constituency, distributed thirty million naira (₦30,000,000) to 250 individuals selected from social media groups across the eleven wards of Bichi Federal Constituency.

He distributed this sum as a traditional “Barka da Sallah” gesture to social media groups within his constituency.
