GOVERNOR ALIA’S VISIT TO BURUKU: A WARM WELCOME AND RENEWED COMMITMENT
Hon. Sir Alex Addingi, the Point Man of Buruku Local Government, alongside the Commissioner for Works, the Chairman of Buruku Local Government Council, and traditional leaders, warmly welcomed His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, the Executive Governor of Benue State, to Buruku Local Government.
In his remarks, Sir Alex Addingi appreciated Governor Alia for his administration’s support to the people of Buruku, particularly the sponsorship of the distribution of thousands of palm seedlings to citizens, the allocation of a technical school to Tombo, and the support given to the Local Government Chairman toward the construction of township roads in Buruku.
He also appealed to His Excellency for the establishment of a Science School to serve the people of Tombo and Nyamatsor, emphasizing the importance of quality science and technical education for the development of the area.sumarise
Sir Alex further assured the Governor of the continued support of the people of Buruku, expressing confidence in a 100% voters turnout and support for Governor Alia’s administration.
He also commended the Governor for the good appointments given to sons and daughters of Buruku, particularly the recent appointment of Chief Kuma Aii Yenge as Commissioner for Works, describing it as a demonstration of the Governor’s confidence in the people of Buruku.
In response, Governor Alia promised to continue supporting the people of Buruku. He directed the Commissioner for Works, Chief Kuma Aii Yenge, to meet with the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, inspect available land in the area, and report back to him within less than one week
We remain hopeful that His Excellency will give favourable consideration to the genuine appeal made by Sir Alex Addingi for the establishment of a Science School in Tombo and Nyamatsor.
