HISTORIC VISIT TO ETULO NATION: GOVERNOR ALIA UNVEILS MAJOR ROAD PROJECTS

In a landmark step towards infrastructure development, the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice and Public Order, Barr. Thomas Ese, alongside the Director General of Special Projects, Benue State Government, Engr. Gabriel Akpen, paid a historic visit to Etulo Council Ward, Buruku LGA.

The visit, on the directive of the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, brought great news to the Etulo Nation as Engr. Akpen officially announced the Governor’s approval for the construction of key roads in the area.

🚧 Road Projects Announced for Etulo Nation:

1️⃣ 13km Abwa to Abakwa Road – set to boost economic activity and connectivity.

2️⃣ 20km Damko Rectory Road (Adi to Otsafu) opening new doors for growth and development.

3️⃣ Ogilazi to Otse’s Palace Road – a culturally significant project that will improve access to the revered palace and promote tourism.

Governor Alia further directed that the Ogilazi to Otse’s Palace Road be completed before the next Opleka’s Festival (October 2025), demonstrating his commitment to timely project delivery and community development.

The delegation was warmly received by His Royal Majesty, Douglas Iyobe Onah Agashi, Otse of Etulo, who expressed deep gratitude to Governor Alia for his love, vision, and commitment to the Etulo people.

This milestone reaffirms the Governor’s resolve to strengthen partnerships with traditional institutions and transform communities through impactful development.
