No list has been uploaded anywhere. The primary admission list will be released in the coming days.

The list would be unadulterated and will drop in batches/discipline. Once UNICAL uploads the list, the CAPs system will vet and approve names of deserving and successful candidates.

In the viral video of Sandy Onor (a professor of history and the PDP gubernatorial candidate), he claimed that the South has produced more VCs than the Central.

Fact check: False! The South has produced only 3 Vice Chancellors, same with the Central. Except he wants to add the non-indigenous VC to the South list.

He also claimed that of all the VCs produced, the Ejaghams in the South have been marginalized.

Fact check: This is a clear case of a man who does not even know what he represents.
Of all the VCs produced by the South, all have been of the Ejagham extraction. Not even one came from the Efik stock.

1. Prof. Solomon Unoh (Biase, even though he became VC and former Civilian Deputy Governor to a Military Government when Biase had not been created from Akamkpa in the 1980s).

2. Prof. Ivara Ejemot Esu (Biase, also current Deputy Governor, VC Unical in the 2000s).

3. Prof. Charles Effiong (Oban - Ejagham Akamkpa, 1990 - 1995 or so).

4. Prof. Asuquo with a maternal lineage (Calabar Qua Ejagham, VC Unical in the 2000s) but an Akwa Ibom paternal lineage.

We understand that Sandy Onor’s intention is to weep off ethnic sentiment in the South, by painting a picture that the Efiks have greatly marginalized the Ejaghams, thereby shredding the Southern hegemony to deny the South their turn.

Meanwhile in the central, he is selling them another story of taking the seat of Government from Calabar to Ikom as a way of giving strength to the activities in the central.

While in the North he is telling them that immediately after his 8years, power will be given to their Ogoja born Senator.
Rather than they wait for 16 years, he will make it happen in 8years.

All of this, just to have his way to Perigrino without any iota of idea on what exactly he will do for the state other than his many printable shenanigan and self glorifying claptraps.

Why I don't support Atiku for President

Personal reason: Any time the name Atiku is mentioned, the death of Ms Deborah who was killed in Sokoto and burnt to ashes by her fellow students who are Muslims, comes to my mind. The way the whole story died without a single person being held responsible, still breaks my heart. Atiku, for the sake of not offending the Northern Muslims, deleted his tweet and was even alleged to have sponsored lawyers that defended those arrested in connection to killing Deborah.

Health reason: I have no issue with his health. Though he is older, he seems healthy for his age.

Reason based on Justice: If a northerner who is a Muslim has ruled the country for 8 years, it is only fair that a southerner should also be allowed to rule. This was even the stand of the PDP, but the greed of Atiku won't let him think beyond himself. And because he knows he is in the wrong, that is why he keeps promising the Igbos an opportunity ONLY after he is done. Then, to insult our intelligence, he adopted the name unifier.

Based on Morals: From the testimony of Obasanjo whom he worked with, Atiku's wealth is questionable.

Issue base: the problem with Atiku is not the lack of well-written ideas, but the correlation of the ideas to his life. He is totally cut off from Nigeria. So, every election, he will dust his old ideas, put them in a nice print and begin to sell them to the masses.

Among those contesting, he is the only one that has contested the most.

Atiku Abubakar ran unsuccessfully for President of Nigeria five times, in 1993, 2007, 2011, 2015, and 2019.

He ran in the Social Democratic Party presidential primaries in 1993 but lost to Moshood Abiola and Baba Gana Kingibe.

He was a presidential candidate of the Action Congress in the 2007 presidential election coming in third to Umaru Yar'Adua of the PDP and Muhammadu Buhari of the ANPP.

He contested the presidential primaries of the People's Democratic Party during the 2011 presidential election losing out to incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan.

In 2014, he joined the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2015 presidential election and contested the presidential primaries losing to Muhammadu Buhari.

In 2017, he returned to the Peoples Democratic Party and was the party's presidential candidate during the 2019 presidential election, again losing to incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.

This present election of 2023 is the sixth time Atiku is coming out to be president.

Haba!

Even to become governor of his state in Adamawa, Atiku contested four good times before he finally won in 1999. Then surprisingly, Obasanjo picked him as vice president, one would have thought he will stay in his state and do all he has been voted for, after all, he has been campaigning for many years to be governor... but as greedy as he is always, he ditched the governorship position, he did not even wait to be inaugurated, he ran to A*o Rock to become vice president. Even as vice president, he could not do his work, because he wanted the position of his Boss, the president.

Atiku's biggest problem is greed. If Atiku is allowed to contest against God, he will.

*We have consulted our gods and seen that Prince Otu is the Next Governor of Cross River State - Paramount Ruler of Etung*

The Council of Traditional rulers and Chiefs in Etung LGA have declared Sen. Prince Bassey Otu as the next governor of Cross River State.

The royal fathers made the declaration when the APC campaign team in continuation of her statewide rally visited them at the council of Chiefs chambers in Effraya, Etung LGA

Recieving the team, Paramount Ruler of Etung, HRM Ntufam Anthony Ntui Etta commended governor Ben Ayade on the increment of allowances to the traditional Rulers in the State.

He said Prince Bassey Otu is a son of Etung and an Ntufam of Etung

"Prince Otu is our son, we are going to give him 100 percent votes. The soul of APC was planted in Etung, we can't betray the party."

Speaking further, the royal father said "We have consulted the gods and Prince Otu is our next governor... In Etung, we believe and practice zoning, our candidates are selected from the zones in respect of zoning, our joy is that Sen. Owan Enoh has reconciled with the party, therefore, Etung is united for APC"

Addressing the jubilant crowd at the rally, Sen. Owan Enoh said Etung is united behind the APC and Prince Bassey Otu, and he promised that the support of Etung will be accurately reflected in the election results.

"I'm not directly on the ballot, but if there's any LGA that will deliver for the APC, it is Etung... In 2014 when the APC came to the State, it took roots and berthed in Etung"

"I'm happy that on this historic day, Bassey Otu is standing with me in Etung and I need you to support Prince Otu, I stand here to make a case for a man eminently qualified, experienced and has a good heart. I entrust all my supporters to this man. Etung is for APC"

In his remarks, the gubernatorial hopeful, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu expressed gratitude to the people for the warm reception, assuring them of massive infrastructural and economic development.

"I'm here in double capacity, as a candidate and as an Ntufam of Etung, you have shown me love, thank you for adopting me as your own.. I will never forget you"

"When I was in the national Assembly I sponsored eight bills, three of those bills were passed into law, my bill on petroleum completely changed the face of the oil and gas sector, I chaired the Senate committee on finance and later banking and I changed the face of the banking sector, I introduced an impressive system that has ensured the security of depositors fund and ever since then, no bank has gone out of business."

"In empowerment and welfare, I can't count the plots of land, I can't count the number of houses, the number of cars, the number of small businesses, the number of scholarships I gave, ask my opponent how many bills he has passed and what has he done for Central"

"We are going to empower the young men, because we are scaling up the agricultural value chain. Taking advantage of the cocoa factory, we will expand the cocoa economy in Etung. We will scale up your cocoa value chain and boost your productivity."

"The southern Etung road will be constructed, the referral hospital will be completed and well equipped..

In his speech to the people of Etung, Sen. Ben Ayade called their attention to the State's power rotation formula.

"Etung people love peace and they are intelligent, Central handed over to me, will it be fair to bring it back to Central when the people of the South have waited for 16years..?" He asked.

He used the occasion to call on the people to vote for all APC candidates.
