WHAT IS HARVEST?
- Harvest is an opportunity create by God to the children of men to show gratitude to what God has done.
- Harvest is an opportunity given to God’s children to come to God their creator who is the maker of all things.
- Harvest is an opportunity for God’s children to exercise God’s faithfulness for giving sun, moon and rain.
- Harvest is a burning of offering to God for enabling our plants to grow.
FIRST TERM HARVEST emphasizes about the beginning and the end. Beginning of a thing tells us how the ending will be.
In Judges 13: 7, the bible says it is the Harvest of man’s labour.
JUDGES 13:3-20; Narrated how the angel of the Lord appeared to Manoh and his wife and said to them ‘indeed now, you are barren and have borne no children; but you shall conceive and bear a son. So that the prophecy will be fulfilled, the woman bore a son and called his name SAMSON, and the child grew and the Lord blessed him.
WHAT THE FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD HARVEST ARE CALLED?
-First term harvest
-Second term harvest – Mid Cropping
-Third term harvest – In-gathering.
Conclusively; the beginning of a thing, determines the end and everything comes from God,
Therefore, offer unto God an excellent sacrifice just like Abel did.
