Behind the scenes of my Saturday 👀

I recently stepped into a new role in the gender development space that puts women, growth, and opportunity at the center of my everyday work and it has forced me to sit with one hard truth:

You cannot empower women for today’s economy with yesterday’s skills.👌

So this weekend looks like:
📚 Learning
📝 Taking notes
💻 Sitting through digital business sessions
📲 Asking myself: How can women truly win in today’s economy?

I’m currently in a Women in Digital Business trainer's training facilitated by the International Labour Organization and Microsoft, and it is opening my eyes to how digital skills are no longer optional.

They are survival tools, leadership tools, and independence tools for women.

If women must compete, lead, earn, and build sustainably, it is pertinent to reiterate that digital skills are no longer optional.

Dear ladies,

If there is something you must protect with all diligence, it is your heart.🤗

Do not allow anyone drag you along in the name of love.
Do not allow anyone keep you on an emotional rollercoaster while they “figure themselves out.”
Do not allow anyone enjoy the benefits of your loyalty while denying you the dignity of clarity.

Your emotions are not toys.
Your time is not a rehearsal ground.
Your life is not an endless waiting room for someone who is unsure about you.

If a relationship keeps you confused, anxious, or constantly guessing, that is not love but emotional instability disguised as affection.

You deserve a love that is deliberate.
You deserve commitment that is clear.
You deserve someone who knows what they want and chooses you boldly.

Do not shrink yourself just to be loved.
Do not silence your needs just to be tolerated.
Do not stay where your heart is mishandled.

🌺 Protect your peace. Guard your worth. Love should build you, not break you. 💕

REMOTE WORK IS NOT A MYTH.

It's best described as "working smart." It is not by connection neither is it for “special” people.

It is simply the work you do from anywhere, using skills that solve real problems for businesses.

You do not necessarily need to be a tech guru. You do not need thousands of followers. You do not also need a foreign passport.

The essential thing you need is clarity.
So let me simplify remote work for you:

Step 1: You learn a skill.
This could be customer support, virtual assistance, data entry, social media, content writing, remote admin, or even simple AI tools.

Step 2: You practice it.
When I say practice, I mean real practice not just watching videos. Create samples. Do mini-projects. By so doing, you build confidence.

Step 3: You show it online.
By practicing, you build your portfolio. It is with this, you showcase your skills on remote work digital platforms like LinkedIn, Upwork, Fiverr, to let the world see what you can do. When people see value, opportunities find you.

Step 4: You stay consistent.
Remote work rewards people who stay visible and keep growing.
That is all the magic you need.

If you’re reading this and you want remote work, please stop overthinking it. Start with ONE skill and stay consistent practicing it for 90 days and you are good to go.

A MAN WITHOUT ENEMIES IS A MAN WITHOUT QUALITIES 🤔

I have been reflecting on this statement, and honestly, it carries more truth than comfort.

In a world where values are constantly shifting, anyone who stands for something will naturally offend someone. People who hold convictions, speak honestly, defend the vulnerable, challenge corruption, protect their peace, or refuse to conform will always create resistance.

It is not because they are bad people but because they are defined people.

Most times, the only person who is loved by everyone is the person who stands for nothing. The one who bends with every wind. The one who fears confrontation more than compromise. But a life without boldness, boundaries, or purpose is not a life of peace but one of emptiness.

So if you find that some people dislike you because:
📍 you refuse to lie,
📍 you refuse to pretend,
📍 you refuse to follow the crowd,
📍 you refuse to betray your principles,
📍 you refuse to be intimidated,

Take heart. You are simply proving that you have qualities worth reacting to.

Greatness has always attracted opposition. Integrity has always unsettled the dishonest. Courage has always irritated the fearful.
Clarity has always disturbed confusion.

So do not shrink yourself to be liked.
Don’t lower your light so others feel comfortable in darkness.
And you honestly do not need to apologize for outgrowing environments that no longer align with who you are becoming.

If your qualities are provoking the right people, just know that you are on the right path.

Keep growing. Keep standing. Keep shining.

Dear Young Person,

There is no shortcut to success. Life may tempt you to believe that more money is the solution to all your problems until you finally get it and realize that there is more to life than comfort, luxury, or applause.

True success is wholeness: peace of mind, character, integrity, and purpose. When you chase money without building values, you may get lost in what you thought you desired. But when you chase growth, excellence, and impact, money and meaning will find you in due season.

Never envy anyone’s journey. Every story you see online has pages you don’t know about; some filled with tears, regret, and loneliness. Focus on building your own story one page at a time. The path may be slow, but it is sure.

📌 Real growth is not about what you have, but who you become in the process.

There’s a viral video circulating where parents stormed their son’s school and slapped a teacher because the teacher allegedly slapped the child first.

Let us set the emotions aside and talk sense, because this situation reveals something deeper about modern parenting.

We are gradually raising a generation where:

Some parents believe their children can do no wrong.
Discipline is seen as “hatred.”
Teachers are treated like enemies.
Every correction is interpreted as “bullying.”

There is no world where violence is the solution, not from a teacher and not from a parent. There is also no world where parents break into a classroom like street fighters and model the exact behaviour they are complaining about.

If a teacher slaps a child, there are procedures:
📌Report to the school authorities
📌 Request disciplinary action
📌 Document the case
📌 Transfer the child if needed
📌 Seek legal redress

But exchanging slap for slap?
What exactly are you teaching your child?
That the answer to hurt is more hurt? That disrespect is acceptable when you feel justified? Or that adults who should protect the system can destroy it because of anger?

We need to restore balance:

👍 Teachers must replace harsh discipline with emotional intelligence.

👍 Parents must cooperate with schools, not fight them.

👍 Children must understand that consequences are part of life.

👍 We must stop glorifying disrespect and lawlessness.

At the end of the day, parenting goes beyond just “defending your child at all cost.” Raising a human being who respects boundaries, authority, and process is golden. 💕
