REPORT FOR THE THIRD SUNDAY SERVICE HELD AT THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH CLIFFORD ASSEMBLY, NO. 3 HADJET STREET, CALABAR. 20TH JULY, 2025.

THE WORD
SPEAKER: ELDER INYANG EKPENYONG
THEME: HOLD THY PEACE, FOR I HAVE MY MANTLE
TEXT: 2 KINGS 2:5-15

The sermon focused on the determined and focused spirit of Elisha as he followed Elijah toward the end of his prophetic journey. The message emphasized the importance of staying committed, regardless of distractions, voices of discouragement, or opposing circumstances.

From the passage, the sons of the prophets repeatedly reminded Elisha of Elijah’s impending departure, but his response was consistent: “Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.” This became a key point of the sermon , that in moments of divine transition and preparation, we must learn to silence external noise and hold on to what God is about to release.

The mantle represented more than a physical garment; it symbolized divine authority, spiritual inheritance, and the empowerment for service. Elisha’s persistence positioned him to receive this mantle. The message drew attention to how many people lose out on spiritual inheritance because they are easily distracted or discouraged.

KEY LESSONS INCLUDED:
✓Being Focus despite distractions
✓Spiritual sensitivity
✓Determination unlocks inheritance
✓Power follows submission

CONCLUSION
The sermon concluded with a challenge to believers to remain steadfast, ignore negative voices, and trust God’s process, because when the time comes, the mantle will fall, and with it comes the grace, power, and responsibility to fulfill one’s divine assignment.

FIRST SUNDAY SERVICE HELD AT THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH CLIFFORD ASSEMBLY, NO. 3 HADJET STREET, CAL.

SERMON: Elder E. O. Ekpe
THEME: Destroying the Ancestral and Territorial Powers
TEXT: 1 Samuel 5:3–4

The message focused on the power and authority of God to destroy ancestral and territorial powers that oppose the destiny of individuals, families, and territories. The scripture highlighted how the idol Dagon, placed beside the Ark of God, fell face down and was eventually broken into pieces. This illustrated how the presence of God causes demonic systems and strongholds to collapse.

Ancestral powers were described as evil forces and spiritual covenants that operate through family bloodlines, causing repeated patterns of delay, failure, sickness, and bo***ge. Territorial powers, on the other hand, are demonic forces assigned to specific locations to control and manipulate the activities within those areas. These forces resist progress and oppose divine agendas.

Just as Dagon could not stand before the Ark, every spiritual force has no choice but to bow in the presence of God. The destruction of Dagon's head and hands was seen as symbolic—the head representing authority and the hands representing activity. It means God not only dethrones evil powers but also disables their operations.

The message also emphasized the need to identify and pull down altars and patterns inherited from past generations. Many people unknowingly suffer from battles that began long before they were born. These inherited issues must be addressed spiritually through prayer, fasting, and a renewed relationship with God.

The message concluded by encouraging boldness in confronting both ancestral and territorial powers. God has already given the authority to overcome them. Living in obedience, staying prayerful, and walking in the power of God guarantees lasting victory.

DECLARATION:
"Every ancestral and territorial power holding me captive, be destroyed by the fire of God! I declare that I am free, and every evil altar is broken by the power of the Most High.

REPORT FOR THE FIFTH SUNDAY SERVICE HELD AT THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH CLIFFORD ASSEMBLY, NO. 3 HADJET STREET, CALABAR. 29TH JUNE, 2025.

THE WORD
SPEAKER: ELDER NSIMA AKPAN
THEME: BLESSINGS FROM OBEDIENCE
TEXT: EZRA 4:2 - 3

Obedience to God is not always easy, especially when the path of compromise seems more convenient. In Ezra 4:2, the enemies of Judah came pretending to help with the rebuilding of the temple, saying, “Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as ye do...” But their intentions were not pure. They were not truly seeking God — they only wanted to frustrate the work.

Zerubbabel and the other leaders discerned this and obeyed God by refusing the offer. It might have seemed unwise to reject assistance when resources were scarce, but they understood that obedience to God was more important than human help. They chose to follow God's command, even if it meant standing alone.

Obedience requires discernment. Many times, offers will come that seem good on the surface, but they carry hidden dangers. The people of Israel remembered the lessons of their forefathers — how disobedience had led to exile. They weren’t going to repeat that mistake. So they stayed true to the command God had given, and though opposition followed, God honored their obedience.

When we obey God, even when it's hard, blessings follow. It may not be immediate, and it may not always look the way we expect, but obedience always unlocks divine favor. Disobedience leads to delay, but obedience opens doors no man can shut.

The blessings of obedience are peace of mind, spiritual authority, divine provision, and lasting success. Like the Israelites, we must learn to say no to anything that contradicts God’s will, even if it looks helpful, and say yes to God’s plan, even when it’s difficult.

CONCLUSION
Let us walk in obedience, knowing that with every act of faithfulness, we are setting ourselves up for God’s blessings. For when we obey God, we invite His presence, His power, and His provision into our lives. And there is no greater blessing than that.
