Sub-theme: What Must Man Do When God Has Need Of Him?
After the fall of Adam, God's heart was never at rest, because His purpose for man had been tampered with by satan. Yet, His hert was kindled in love to bring man back to Himself.
Adam left his designated place where God had placed him after he had sinned, just as must of us today have done the same by leaving the duties and positions God gave to us; in order words, we have been running from God, due to whatever reason propagated it.
Having seen the mistakes and sins of man, God still chose to look for man, and by so providing a lamb (Jesus) to be slain, so its skin can be used to cover man's nakedness, and its blood washing man clean of his sinful deeds, so man can be hold again. This is an immeasurable way of declaring His desire to bring man back to Himself again.
Believing in Christ with all our heart and might is considered the only way not to perish due to our sins.
What Must Man Do When God Is In Need Of Him?
1. Man should be obedience to God's call at all times, and need not to give any excuse or procrastinate. Gen. 12:1-5 tells of Abraham's obedience to God's call (He never negotiated, gave excuse or procrastinate) and he never regretted it, because he was blessed abundantly with a child - Isaac, also he became the father of all nations.
2. Man is expected to surrender his entire life to Jesus through repentance and confessing of his sins.
3. Man must determine to be steadfast with God, especially when he is being needed by God, just as Job did (Job 23:10-12)
BENEFITS
1. You shall eat all the good of the land you find ourself, if only you will be willing and obedient enough (Isaiah 1:18-20)
2. God will not allow the sun to smite you by day nor the moon by night.
3. You shall enjoy fellowship in His kingdom
4. You shall be like a tree planted beside the rivers.
5. God's favour shall always abide with you.
Joshua asked thus: chose among yourself this day the god which you will serve; either the god of your father's house/world or the true God Almighty, and same is being asked of you today, what will you do, respond to God's calling and enjoy all it benefits thereof or neglect it?
