Have you met someone who worked in Space Technology before?

Our director will be live on this space today to interview someone who once worked with the Nigerian Space Agency and now works to ensure that you and I are familiar with Space Tech and the Opportunities therein!

Our guest (the amazing lady in the photo) is Nelly-Helen.

Nelly-Helen Ebruka is a researcher and space professional with a passion for youth development and engagement. Her work includes collaborating with public and private institutions to design and implement capacity-building initiatives tailored for students and young professionals in the space sector. With an academic interest in the international politics of outer space, Nelly is currently pursuing a PhD in Politics at the University of Manchester, focusing on interregional space cooperation between Africa and Europe.

Nelly-Helen believes anyone can explore the numerous opportunities in space technology. In one of her conversations with our director, she told him, "Don't ever think that NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Nigerian Space Agency or any Space agencies in the world are far from you... get involved and you'd be surprised to see the tons of opportunities many Africans are not aware exist in space technology..."

This interview is one you should never miss if you've been thinking of the Stars and if they're opportunities for you in Space Technology.

All details to join will be in the comment section 👇👇
See you by 7:00pm GMT.

Interview is sponsored by Consultants & Techies

It's a wrap!

We've come to the end of our 3-day virtual conference, "Critical Conversations on Climate Entrepreneurship and Nigeria's Energy Transition Plan"!

From Day 1, we were inspired by the insights of Uzo Mbamalu, CEO of Manamuz Electric, Olumide Kolawole, Climate Finance Specialist, Rohit Siddareddy who shared his perspectives with a case study from India, and David Effiong , Director of Ekko Now, and Dahel Consultants & Techies, who shared valuable perspectives on economic opportunities in climate entrepreneurship.

On Day 2, Sultan Balioglu, Senior Energy Expert, and Daniel Iwuchukwu, Architect, shared valuable perspectives on socio-economic opportunities in renewable energy and innovative homes.

And today, on Day 3, Patrick Ndifon, Founder of Hack51, and Jude Pius, Deputy Director of External Linkages Coordination at the University of Calabar Carbon Innovation Center, equipped us with actionable knowledge on renewable energy opportunities and formulating an action plan for renewable energy transition in Cross River State.

Hello world! 😊

Why does Africa Matter in Space Technology and where do you fit in?

Everyone of us was excited about the recent progress of Space X in terms of rocket launching. Check out the video 👇

But there's something you must know - especially as an African!

A rocket launch is more than just fire and smoke—it’s a symbol of progress, innovation, and limitless possibilities.

From agriculture and climate monitoring to disaster management, communication, and national security, space tech is shaping Africa’s future. It’s not just about exploring the stars—it’s about solving real-world problems right here on Earth.

That’s why this episode of the Ekko Now Podcast is unmissable! 🎙️ We’re sitting down with Nelly-Helen Ebruka, a space researcher and advocate for youth engagement in the industry.

She’s working to empower young Africans in the space sector and bridge the gap between Africa and Europe in global space cooperation. 🌍🤝

📅 Date: Thursday, 14th March

⏰ Time: 7 PM GMT

If Africa is to claim its place in the global tech revolution, space must be part of the conversation. 🚀

Join us as we explore the opportunities, challenges, and future of space technology in Africa.

P.S. The good thing about this podcast/interview with Nelly-Helen is that you and I will get to know the tons of opportunities available for you in Space Technology.
