Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has urged the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to avoid confrontational displays involving the military.

In a statement on Tuesday, Sani advised Wike to respect the chain of command and the professional boundaries of the armed forces. His caution follows reports of a recent encounter between the Minister’s convoy and military personnel in Abuja.

Sani noted that while civilian authority should be upheld, mutual respect between political leaders and the military remains essential for maintaining national order and discipline.

“The military operates on principles of command, not politics. Caution is the better part of leadership,” he said.
