This is really getting out of hand. Our politicians are really interested in the upcoming elections and campaigns. At this time, they should have declared w@r on terr0rism in Nigeria. Their silence speaks volumes, it displays incompetency, it displays lack of political will to end insvrgency, it suggests there's more to this. It's really sad 😢😭. How did we find ourselves in this situation?

The government is so insensitive about the cases of insecurity in the country. They ignore intelligence information, children get abdvcted, they give deaf ears to the cry of innocent v1ctims and the public. It has gotten to the point of protest. Insecurity has become a new normal in Nigeria. It's really sad.

CHILDREN’S DAY IN NIGERIA 💔
There was a time Children’s Day used to feel like joy.
School uniforms freshly ironed.
White socks.
March-past competitions.
Biscuits and soft drinks.
Parents smiling with pride while children danced under the sun.
Children used to dream loudly.
Doctor.
Pilot.
Lawyer.
Footballer.
But today…
many Nigerian children are growing up too fast.
Some are no longer thinking about dreams.
They are thinking about survival.
Some cannot go to school because their parents can no longer afford it.
Some schools are empty because families are afraid of kidnappers.
Some children now see classrooms as dangerous places.
Imagine being a child and hearing:
“Don’t stay too long outside.”
“Don’t travel alone.”
“Bandits attacked another school.”
“Children were kidnapped again.”
A child should fear homework…
not gunshots.
A child should worry about exams…
not whether they will return home safely.
And the painful part is this:
Children are becoming the softest targets in a broken society.
Some are kidnapped.
Some are forced out of school.
Some are hawking under hot sun instead of learning.
Some already carry emotional pain adults cannot even handle.
Yet every year we still say:
“Happy Children’s Day.”
But deep down…
many Nigerian children are not happy anymore.
A country that cannot protect the peace of its children is slowly damaging its own future.
Because childhood is supposed to be the safest part of life.
Not the beginning of fear.
Today, as we celebrate Children’s Day, may we remember the children who are growing up inside hardship, insecurity, hunger, and uncertainty.
And may we never become so used to suffering that we stop noticing their pain.
💔🇳🇬
