I got seven referrals from one customer
About three months ago, I sold Starlink for a customer who reached out to me via Facebook.
He indicated interest in buying one Starlink and after taking out time to explain the features of it to him, he paid without wasting time.
I took it out the next day and sent it to him via a logistic company, he received it and thanked me.
Immidiately I delivered that Starlink to him, I didn’t delete his number , neither did I stop checking up on him and the Starlink.
I randomly send him messages to check up on him and ask him if he is enjoying his Starlink, he respond with so much joy.
Now, here is the thing.
I am not checking up on him nor the starlink because I want to stay close, but because am trying to create a good relationship with a customer who trusted me and purchased an item from me.
Note: not everyone will be comfortable with this act, and the moment you scent it, STOP IT.
After some weeks, he gave me seven referrals and I was shocked to my bone marrow.
Guess what was his response when I called to thank him?
He said, ENDY, you didn’t just sold Starlink to me, you made sure you check on it randomly to make sure I’m enjoying what I paid for.
Here is the thing, as a business owner, make it a habit to randomly check on your customers and ask them about the item they purchased from you.
While they’re giving you their honest reviews, take screenshots.
At that point, you’re not just gathering testimonies , you’re building a solid relationship and they will always patronize you, and refer you to others.
