There's a whole lot I've come to learn and love about Chef Hilda Baci.
Two years ago, she shook the world by breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.
She's about to break another by aiming to cook the largest pot of Nigerian Jollof rice.
We’re not talking small chops here!
We’re talking a pot that’s 6 meters wide and 6 meters tall.
Over 250 bags of rice.
Tons of tomatoes, spices, and seasonings.
And more than 20,000 people waiting to taste it.
Of course, a lot of people have a lot to say about this...
Some are cheering.
Some are doubting.
Some are mocking.
But here’s what I see instead 👇
1) Dreams don’t get smaller:- Once you’ve achieved one big thing, you start searching for the next mountain to climb.
2) Ex*****on is what separates dreamers from doers:- Anyone can say “I want to break a record.” But planning a pot this size? That’s vision plus action.
3) Every success story comes with noise:- Being criticised by people doesn't mean you’re failing, it means you’re visible.
4) Culture connects: Cooking Jollof isn’t just strategy, it’s storytelling. And that’s why the world is paying attention.
5) Action attracts Support: The moment she decided to act on this dream of hers, a lot of brands and celebrities started showing up, partnering, sponsoring, and even cheering her on. People are more likely to support those who move than those who just talk.
And the biggest lesson?
People may laugh at your dream until you actually do it and win! ✊
In summary, the dreams that scare us the most are the ones worth chasing.
I'm rooting for you, Baci 👏👏
