Today the leadership of the National Youth Council Degema chapter ably led by their deputy chairman, comr. Israel Oriye had a interactive section with the PDP candidate for the RSHA, Disciple Peter Abbey in his office (Divine Mandate office).

Disciple Peter Abbey adviced youths to be part of the electoral process to make the needed change in the society. He said a vote for the Governorship, Senate, House of Representative and the House of Assembly will be a vote for a continue government presence in the area.

..SIM: IT'S ABOUT HOPE

"And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: that ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises." - Hebrews 6 vs 11 & 12.

Nothing holds the determination of man to strive on than hope and faith in the future. It is the common motivator that keeps him focused and re-energises his diligent commitment to relate to humanity.

Certainly, no one circumvent the fibre of hope and survive the storm of life. Once that fire of hope is extinguished, the outcome of life becomes miserable and disastrous.

That exactly is the lots of many, especially most civil and public servants in Rivers State, who perhaps have lost hope of getting commensurate rewards and ascribed with the dignity of service via constant promotions.

Much as they feel disenchanted due to bureaucratic procedures that have kept them mute, there is obvious light at the end of the tunnel as gradual excitement has started creeping back into their folds. Why?

Soon after the nomination of Sir Siminalayi Fubara as the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, it dawned on the Rivers civil servants that one of their own is mounting the saddle as governor of the state. The knowledge of that became a reviving tonic, knowing the antecedent of humility and kind hearted-ness of the man Sim Fubara in the circle of public servants. He is well spoken of and commands great respect amongst a greater number of them.

Of course, his candidacy suddenly rekindled the hopes of the average civil servant knowing that Sir Siminalayi Fubara has been part of the establishment and a critical stakeholder who knows where the shoe pinches. They were further gladdened by the fact that the civil service is his primary constituency, and if for nothing, it is their turn to shine in the affairs of the state.

They are apparently determined not to be slothful as they will through faith and patience inherit the promises of a better life and progression in their chosen career as embedded in the consolidation of the new Rivers vision.

Sir Siminalayi Fubara feels exactly the pulse of every public servant as one who has been there and so, has great plans to improve the sector. He is obviously convinced that a well motivated public service will provide a more efficient service delivery for the actualisation of the consolidation agenda.

Therefore, it is not time for despair anymore among the public servants, but it is about hope in one of their own to bring to bear a rejuvenated, vibrant and prosperous civil service in Rivers State. The only man passionately focused at that vision, is Sir Siminalayi Fubara when he becomes the governor of Rivers State come May 29, 2023. Let therefore, the civil servants and well meaning Rivers people arise and vote Sim Fubara for governor come March 11, 2023, so that together, we shall celebrate the birth of a new dawn in the lives of Rivers people. Vote SIM/Ngozi under the PDP umbrella and be peaceful.
