PAAU Anyigba Gets Massive Boost!

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to 27 academic programmes at Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba.

This includes 5 postgraduate programmes and 22 undergraduate programmes across various faculties such as Agriculture, Arts & Humanities, Computing, Law, Management Sciences, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and the College of Health Sciences.

The accreditation is a major milestone that strengthens the university’s academic standing and confirms that its programmes meet the required national quality standards.
This achievement is seen as a direct result of sustained investment in education by the Kogi State Government under Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. It brings pride to students, lecturers, and the entire Kogi academic community.

Many Kogi indigenes and education stakeholders have hailed the development as a positive step toward producing globally competitive graduates from the state-owned university.

🚨 KOGI STATE BREAKING: Gov Ododo Launches Special Task Force to Crush Road Crashes! 🚨
In a bold move to save lives on Kogi roads, the Kogi State Government under His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has announced the establishment of a Special Task Force Unit dedicated to tackling the rising cases of road traffic crashes.
The task force, which will include key stakeholders like the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other relevant agencies, will focus on monitoring, coordination, and strict enforcement across major highways in the state.
One of the major highlights of this initiative is the proposal for mandatory drug testing for drivers. Authorities say this will help identify and sanction those driving under the influence, a major cause of fatal accidents.
Other measures include:
• Promotion of responsible driving culture among motorists
• Restrictions on daytime movement of heavy-duty trucks, especially during peak festive periods to reduce congestion and accidents
The communiqué, issued after a high-level meeting at the Government House in Lokoja, described the current loss of lives on Kogi roads as “unacceptable.” Governor Ododo’s administration is determined to make the state’s highways safer, especially as Kogi remains a major transit hub connecting different parts of Nigeria.
This latest move builds on ongoing sensitisation campaigns with the FRSC and shows the governor’s commitment to protecting lives and property.

Superstar Nigerian singer, Tems has been nominated for the Grammy Awards in 2023.

The 27-year-old singer and songwriter bagged two nominations in the Best Melodic Rap Performance and Best Rap Song categories.
