In Honor of the Late Nya’a Donga
Today marks one year since the passing of the esteemed Nya’a Donga —
a custodian of heritage, a pillar of Donga, and a true kingmaker.
He stood not merely as a man, but as an institution.
Gentle in heart, yet firm in duty.
Measured in speech, unwavering in principle.
Thrones were strengthened by his wisdom.
Leaders were shaped by his discipline.
His silence carried authority; his words carried weight.
One year may pass in time,
but legacy is not measured in months — it is measured in impact.
The tree may fall, but its shade remains.
So it is with Nya’a Donga.
When the drums speak of honor, his name will answer.
When elders recount strength, his legacy will stand.
May the earth of Donga rest gently upon him.
May the ancestors receive him as one who fulfilled his calling.
A kingmaker does not die —
he lives wherever wisdom strengthens the throne.
