No one is perfect. Perfection is the attribute of Allah (S.W.A). In public service, mistakes may occur, opinions may differ, and criticism may emerge from various quarters. However, fairness and sincerity demand that achievements and positive contributions be acknowledged before attention is drawn to perceived shortcomings.

In recent times, sections of the media, opposition figures, and even some members within our political fold have continued to express negative views about the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students' Matters, Amb Muhammad Salisu Seeker. Yet, when leadership is evaluated based on performance, accessibility, and the lives touched, the facts tell a different story.

Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Governor Mallam Umar Namadi, FCA, Amb. Muhammad Salisu Seeker has distinguished himself as one of the most active and result-driven political appointees in the current administration. Among the many government officials serving the people of Jigawa State, his office stands out for its direct and measurable impact on the lives of students and young people across the state.

His commitment has never been restricted by political affiliation, social status, gender, or geographical location. Instead, he has consistently demonstrated a passion for empowering young people through education, skills acquisition, mentorship, and opportunities that improve livelihoods and create pathways to success.

Through the widely celebrated Dan-Moɗi Students' Care Initiative, thousands of young people with deficiencies in their SSCE results were provided with a second opportunity to rewrite their examinations. For many beneficiaries, this intervention became the turning point that enabled them to gain admission into tertiary institutions and pursue their academic dreams.

The initiative has also expanded educational access through support for examination registrations, admission guidance, academic assistance programmes, and interventions designed to remove barriers preventing students from advancing in their studies.

Most recently, the successful conduct of examinations under the Future Young Professionals (FYP) Programme for primary and junior secondary school students further demonstrated a long-term vision for educational excellence. The office further demonstrated its unwavering commitment to educational development by successfully coordinating and supporting candidates participating in the National Examinations Council (NECO) National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) for Primary Six pupils and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for Junior Secondary School students. 27 LGA Coordinators of Dan-Moɗi Students Care Honour Amb. Salisu Muhammad Seeker with Prestigious Award of Excellence for Outstanding Leadership and Community Service

In a significant demonstration of grassroots support and confidence in the leadership of Danmodi Students Care, Amb Muhammad Salisu Seeker (SSA , Student's Matters), today received a high-powered delegation comprising the 27 Local Government Area Coordinators of the initiative across Jigawa State, alongside five Emirate Coordinators and five Emirate Secretaries.

The strategic engagement focused on reviewing the achievements, expanding the reach, and strengthening the impact of Danmodi Students Care across the state. Discussions also centered on consolidating grassroots mobilization efforts and reinforcing public support for the administration of Governor Umar A. DAN-MOƊI STUDENT'S CARE SPONSORS JIGAWA PUPILS FOR FEDERAL UNITY COLLEGES ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

In a significant step towards expanding access to quality education and fostering academic excellence, the Jigawa State Government has sponsored selected Primary Six pupils across the state to participate in the 2026 Federal Unity Colleges Common Entrance Examination into JSS I.

The examination was conducted through the DAN-MOƊI STUDENT'S CARE Initiative, a programme coordinated through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students' Affairs Amb Muhammad Salisu Seeker. Under the scheme, pupils, male and female—were selected from each primary school across Jigawa State to benefit from the initiative.

To ensure equal opportunities for deserving pupils, the Jigawa State Government fully sponsored the registration process and provided the necessary support required for their successful participation in the examination.

This historic intervention marks the first time the state government has sponsored such a large number of pupils for the Federal Unity Colleges Common Entrance Examination. The initiative reflects the unwavering commitment of the administration of Governor Mallam Umar A. As His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Mallam Umar A. Namadi, FCA, marks three years in office, I, on behalf of the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students’ Affairs, alongside the entire students of Jigawa State, extend heartfelt congratulations, profound appreciation and unwavering support to His Excellency for three impactful years of purposeful leadership, remarkable achievements and people-oriented governance.

Within just three years, the administration of Governor Umar A. Namadi has recorded significant and sustainable progress across various sectors, particularly in education, workers’ welfare, youth empowerment, agriculture, healthcare and infrastructural development.

As stakeholders directly connected with students and young people, we have witnessed the Governor’s strong commitment towards improving education and supporting students across Jigawa State. One of the most historic achievements under this administration is the 100% increase in scholarship allowances, a bold intervention that has eased the burden of education on thousands of students while motivating them to pursue academic excellence.

Similarly, the "Danmodi Students Care" Initiative has emerged as a symbol of compassion, educational support and youth development. Through this initiative, numerous students have benefited from scholarships, educational materials, mentorship opportunities and empowerment programs designed to prepare them for a brighter future. The administration has also recruited new teachers, upgraded some tertiary institutions and established the State University of Health Sciences in Majiya, among other remarkable achievements.

Beyond the education sector, Governor Umar A. Namadi’s administration has demonstrated exceptional concern for civil servants through the implementation of the new minimum wage, thereby reducing the hardship caused by the current economic realities and boosting workers’ morale. The government has also employed new workers across several ministries, departments and agencies, including the security sector.

Furthermore, the administration has maintained regular payment of pensions and settled entitlements of deceased workers’ families promptly. Capacity-building programs, training opportunities and educational advancement initiatives for workers have also continued to receive priority attention.

In the area of infrastructure, the state has witnessed massive development through the construction and rehabilitation of roads across urban and rural communities, renovation and construction of schools, establishment and upgrade of healthcare facilities, provision of potable water and several other developmental projects directly impacting the lives of the people.

In agriculture, the administration has taken strategic steps to boost farming activities by supporting farmers with agricultural inputs, introducing interest-free agricultural loans and establishing the Ministry of Livestock Development to strengthen animal husbandry and related economic activities within the state.

The government has also continued to provide support and relief to victims of flooding while improving road networks to facilitate easier transportation and enhance commercial activities for farmers and traders.

In the area of entrepreneurship and economic empowerment, Governor Umar A. Namadi established an Empowerment Agency aimed at supporting youths and entrepreneurs with startup capital, vocational tools and business support programs to promote self-reliance and economic growth.

The administration has also revitalized the Maigatari International Market, further strengthening commercial activities, boosting internally generated revenue and enhancing the economic potential of Jigawa State.

On humanitarian services and social welfare, the government established the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Social Welfare to coordinate emergency interventions and alleviate the suffering of vulnerable citizens, especially during this period of economic hardship.

Food items, financial support and relief materials have continued to reach vulnerable groups and victims of disasters such as floods and fire outbreaks across the state.

Indeed, the achievements of this administration are too numerous to exhaust within a single statement. However, these three years have clearly demonstrated that the government of Malam Umar A. Namadi is one built on honesty, accountability, dedication and genuine concern for the welfare of the people.

His leadership style has restored hope, strengthened unity and provided a renewed direction for the growth and development of Jigawa State, while increasing public confidence in government.
