In many universities, students often feel like voiceless participants in a system that overlooks their struggles. The management makes decisions without considering how those decisions affect students academically, emotionally, and financially. Policies are implemented suddenly, deadlines are enforced without flexibility, and students’ complaints or appeals are often ignored. There is a growing disconnect between the students and those in authority, creating an environment where students’ pains are not felt, and their voices go unheard. This lack of consideration leads to frustration, stress, and a feeling of being alone in a system that is supposed to support their growth and success.

Being a student goes far beyond attending lectures and writing exams. Many of us face real-life challenges that weigh heavily on our shoulders every single day. From struggling to pay house rent, school fees, and transport, to feeding ourselves and buying essential textbooks , the financial burden can be overwhelming. In most cases, we receive little or no help from family, yet we are still expected to perform excellently and come out with flying colours. Balancing academics with the mental and emotional stress of survival is not easy. It takes strong determination, sacrifice, and resilience to keep going. Behind every result sheet is a story of sleepless nights, skipped meals, financial hardship, and silent tears. Yet, we push on , not because it's easy, but because we believe in a better future.

You left the weight of responsibility on a woman’s shoulders and walked away when strength was most needed. She carried the pain, the shame, the sleepless nights, and the silent prayers alone. She became both mother and father, sacrificing her comfort, her dreams, and sometimes her dignity just to ensure the child survived and grew with love.

Now, after the storms have passed and the child has become something you can be proud of, you return asking for what you once abandoned. Parenthood is not a title to be claimed when convenient, it is a duty proven through sacrifice, presence, and consistency. You cannot ignore the journey and demand the destination.

A child is not a trophy to be reclaimed, nor a mistake to be erased. The scars of neglect do not disappear because time has passed. Responsibility delayed is still responsibility denied. Before claiming rights, remember the years of absence, and before asking for the child, acknowledge the woman who carried the burden you refused to bear.

This is not hatred speaking — it is truth, memory, and justice.

That’s the age they warn us about

That’s the age they keep pointing at with dread.

Thats the expiry date of a young woman

Every woman born in 1996 now is quaking inside.

You dare not reach 30 and not be inside a mans house

Even if he is the weapon that will be fashioned against you

Even if he will chip at your spark gradually till you become dim

Just enter inside like that.
Thats what the life of a woman has been summarized to. The number 30.

That’s the age we all dread.

Just make it work. Somehow anyhow. Don’t reach 30 single.

That’s the dirty lie.

Dear woman approaching 30 or even past 30

First of all? How are you?

I hope you’re doing well. I hope your metal health is fine. I hope you know that you’re priceless in the eyes of your maker.

Your life does not expire at 30. Nor did your womb.

I know it’s scary. I know you tried to make relationships work. Even if it didn’t, it does not mean it won’t work.

I just want to tell you that you will be fine. You will. I don’t know your life’s story. But I know Jesus.

I know that He is never too late.

Keep trusting Him. Raise your head. Dress nice. Smell good. Serve your maker.

If your heart desire marriage, God will make it happen for you.

I love you. And I’m rooting for you.
