Solidarity Visit: Brigadier General Bashir Adewinbi and Hon. Sulaiman Kadiri Olanrewaju (Ar'rahaman Bread) Visit the Chairman and Councilors of Ede North Local Government.

Yesterday, the Executive Chairman of Ede North Local Government, Hon. Adeyemi Oluwasesan Elliot, received a solidarity visit from notable APC leaders, including retired Brigadier-General Bashir Adewinbi and Hon. Sulaiman Kadiri Olanrewaju (Ar'rahaman Bread), the party's candidate in the last Osun House of Assembly Election. The visit aimed to foster unity among party leaders and members, urging them to avoid divisive actions and work towards a cohesive party structure.

General Adewinbi appealed to leader of the council, Cabinet members and Honorables not to join hand with people on social media who are tearing apart the peace and harmony we've been enjoying in the party because of who will emerge flag bearer of the party against 2026 governorship election. In furtherance, he described Hon. Minister of Blue Economy and Marine as the compass of the Osun APC today and we must wait for any decision comes from him. He described social media war as a political gimmick initiated and fueled by people in other party to cause damages so that they can have easy ride. He said we should not play to their gallery.

General Adewinbi urged the council leader, cabinet members, and honorables to refrain from engaging with social media provocateurs who seek to disrupt the party's peace and harmony, particularly in the context of the 2026 governorship election. He emphasized the importance of waiting for guidance from the Minister of Blue Economy and Marine, whom he described as the compass of Osun APC. General Adewinbi characterized the ongoing social media debates as a political tactic orchestrated by rival parties to sow discord and gain an advantage. He cautioned against falling into this trap and urged party members to maintain unity.

Hon. Elliot, on behalf of himself, his cabinet, and the honorables, expressed gratitude for the visit from the party leaders. He specifically thanked Brigadier-General Adewinbi and Hon. Sulaiman (Ar'rahaman Bread) for their financial support to the party, describing them as its backbone. Hon. Elliot prayed for their continued success, saying, "May God not forsake them." He also used the occasion to highlight his administration's programs and policies aimed at bringing the benefits of democracy closer to the people of Ede North, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
