TERRORISM, PEACE, AND CONFLICT🔥
Today I want to talk about terrorism, peace and conflicts, because I see some of you find it difficult to understand what is going on in the world, not because you are not educated, but because of your narrow-mindedness towards conflict, terrorism and peace ✌️
How is terrorism created, and who is qualified to declare any group a terrorist? No group of individuals will ever come up to say they are terrorists, and the "State Government, the United Nations, or Western culture should see us as terrorists." No not one can do so.
No, not a single one can do that because 98% of all terrorist groups are born in conflict zones, conflict since the end of World War II. Social tensions and dissatisfaction within the West and Africa are fuelling terrorism. 93% of all groups tagged as terrorists are demanding justice or freedom.
The best way to control terrorism is to stop or reduce the number of conflicts in both the West, the Middle East and Africa, because conflict has been, and still is, a catalyst for terrorism. No country is experiencing terrorism without being in conflict. Check the index all over the world where groups are tagged as terrorists.
There is social injustice, marginalisation and all kinds of activities, both individual and government, are breeding injustice, and people will always rise to fight for justice, and the first thing the organised Government do is declare such a group 'terrorist'.
These are not what you read in the mainstream media platforms but the claims here can be verified.
What are the conflicts in Africa that gave birth to groups like Boko Haram etc. Again, don't take this justification for any death, but see beyond the death to why such groups exist and to what extent the countries have resolved the issue of having them.
Think about when IPOB was declared to be terrorists (IPOB), which stood for Indigenous People of Biafra. These are agitations for Biafra. Can the declaration be justified? If it can't be justified because they are your people, can the Declaration of Boko Haram be justified because they are not your people?
Now listen Boko Haram stood for Western Culture forbidden. Many people today stand against Western Education (culture) they want to go back to their roots as such, they also against Western culture, do we now call them Boko Haram even though they have not killed anyone in the process and if persecution of others arise from it tomorrow can we call them terrorists group? These few questions help to understand the situation.
You don't need an organised body to be recognised as a terrorist. You need only to create fear in society. Creating fear among the people can be done by an individual, a group or even the Government. We can all be terror to ourselves if we choose to make others fear us instead of embracing peace, which is rooted in justice, and a lack of justice will always breed unrest, which in turn may result in agitation.
Next time, the Government manipulates you to call anyone a terrorist. Ask how such individuals or groups become terrorists to the people. Perhaps their fight is justified in demanding justice for their own people.
What is the extent of resolution of the conflicts in the world today? How is the Government at all levels addressing the conflict in their region to minimise the emergence of agitators?
The day all conflicts, be it economic, religious, security, or political conflicts, are resolved in the world, terrorism will be history in our society.
