We are excited to announce a leadership change within our organization NEWSPAPERS/MAGAZINE DISTRIBUTORS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (NDAN ))Effective immediately from 30th of January 2024 the Current Leadership will be stepping down from their role as We want to express our gratitude for their dedicated service.
We’re delighted to have you as our new leader . We’re a team of go-getters willing to learn from one of the best. We have high expectations of you all and are eager and confident to learn from your wealth of knowledge. Welcome to NDAN
The Elders-in-Counsel present. the infatigable Out-going Chairman, the
EXecutive members, the amiable Sales Representatives, our Door-to-Door
Managers, Distinguished Ladies and gentlemen of the press, all protocol
observed.
We thank God for given us the grace to successfully execute the
herculean task.
We equally thanked our Members for their patience and unrelenting
cooperation.
The journey of transition began on the 19th December, 2023, where
general election was conducted, which was adjudged credible, peaceful,
free and fair by internal and foreign observers.
Today is a remarkable day in the history of NDAN Island Zone, that the
out-going Executives led by Emeritus Godwin Akpan (Goddex) and his
cabinet members, worked meriteously, showed empathy to all, there is no
doubt, monumental achievements under his watch were recorded. His
leadership quality is equal to none. As a matter of facts, he was able to
build a formidable relationship with the Media organizations, members
and other sister zones. He offered a selfless service in the industry and to
humanity.
His humility nature at work, left an indelible footprint as a standard for
emulation.
We pray that the incoming government will replicate same, even surpass
the record set by the Former.

Ladies and Gentlemen.
All praise and honour goes to Almighty God for making today a reality.
It is with great pleasure that, I welcome you all to this special occasion
of the Swearing-in-ceremony of the Newly Elected Members of NDAN,
Lagos Island Zone.
Your present at this occasion is an indication of hope, support and
encouragements. We hereby, assure you that this Adrninistration will
ran an open door policy where everybody's opinion will count. Our
commitment will be directed towards taking the Association to the
next improved business levels.
Obviously, the business of selling Newspapers/Magazines is one of the
most affected business by the present economic situation in the
country. Therefore, we have to find a common goal with the media
houses, in order to keep operating ata profitable level. We are ready
for an improved relationship with the Media houses and we also solicit
for their understanding and co-operation on issues that are capable
of influencing the way we do business - especially the arbitrary
increases in the cover price without a commensurate profit margin
which is not palatable to both distributors and vendors.
Without doubt, the vendors are our partners in progress. We will
equally demand their inputs and support, because if we succeed, we
equally succeed together. The level of understanding we built
together can go a long way to reshape the sales and distribution of
Newspaper/Magazines. By so doing, the media houses will not
neglect our concerns and opinions.
Furthermore, I will like to brief you with the course of actions during
my tenure as the Chairman which are as follows:-
Constitutional Review
Monthly presentation of the Association Financial Reports
• Adequate meeting with members of the Elders Forum
Sustain cleaning of our office and business environment
Alternative source of power for the office through the installation
of Solar Electricity supply.
This is a serious call to service and we cannot afford to fall.
achieve all these, I am asking for your prayers, Commitment,
contributions and co-operation.
We thank you all for giving us the opportunity to serve.
assuring you of my readiness to serve with the best of my ability a
maximum fear of God.
