IPOB praises Agabi’s “brilliant” no-case submission at Kanu’s trial today, accuses media of “biased reportage” of proceedings

"The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has praised the “brilliant, fact-based and legally devastating arguments presented today (Friday, July 18) in open court by Chief Kanu Agabi SAN, in defence of Nnamdi Kanu.

"The pro-Biafra group, in a statement by its Directorate of Legal Affairs, Research and Global Communications, has, however, condemned what it called “the calculated and cowardly silence of the Nigerian press” on Agabi’s submission.

"Reviewing today’s proceedings in the federal high court, Abuja in the treason trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained IPOB leader, the IPOB lamented that “while Agabi’s submission, anchored on the glaring lack of evidence, due process violations, and fundamental constitutional protections, laid bare the hollowness of the federal government’s case, the media instead chose to regurgitate sensational and unfounded propaganda spewed by the prosecution,” insisting that “this is not journalism (but) complicity in injustice...”

SOLUDO: When a professor lacks emotional intelligence

"The Anambra State governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo is always in the news for the wrong reasons among Ndigbo. Since he joined the murky waters of Nigerian politics, his rating by most people of Igbo extraction continues to dwindle. Many see him as a politician who prioritizes personal gain and advancement over the collective interests of the Igbo people. Indeed, not a few see him as anti-Igbo; a man who is ready to sacrifice his people’s collective interest to further his political ambition.

"To many Igbo stakeholders, yes, Soludo may be an outstanding scholar but lacks emotional intelligence of a true leader. IPOB REFUTES UMAHI'S Kanu release negotiations claim, calls it “reckless, contemptuous” propaganda

"The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has described as “reckless and contemptuous” a report quoting the Minister of Works, David Umahi, as claiming that negotiations are going on at the moment for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the group’s detained leader.
