Why do people treat strangers better than their partner?
It’s sad how some people speak to strangers with more respect than their own partner.
When love is new, everyone is polite — “please,” “thank you,” “I’m sorry.”
But as time goes on, some people drop their manners like they don’t matter anymore.
They interrupt, talk harshly, ignore messages, raise their voices — yet smile sweetly at outsiders.
That’s not comfort, that’s rudeness disguised as familiarity.
You can be real and still be respectful.
You can be close and still be kind.
Love doesn’t excuse bad behavior.
The way you talk to your partner says more about your character than your feelings.
