POLICE, JUDICIARY, NIGERIA CITIZENS & OBEYING THE LAW

Rivers CP visits 94 year old female Police veteran enlisted in 1955. Dcp Dame Stella Obuoforibo Okuyiga (Rtd)She was one of the first batch of female Police officers. When I called the CP, to appreciate him & pray for him, I couldn't control myself but burst into tears of joy for this unique & singular godly act of CP, Disu, that is not known in the recent past in the Force, because in the recent past, police officers both high & low treat their retired colleagues like lepers. Especially the case of this retired officer was a unique one. She was a victim of professional competence, in that she arrested a serving judge who broke traffic laws, & she will not let the judge go without being prosecuted, even when the supreme military council of obasanjo regime intervened with a threat of dismissal & she did not bug. Then military council decided that she should be dismissed without benefits. IGP Adamu Suleiman, to save her years of service, asked her to resign, which she did. Very very very incorruptible woman.
